Nice sized rooms, comfortable bed and large kitchen

Heating didn’t seem to warm up downstairs but made upstairs rather warm. There was. Big temperature difference between the two levels. Lack of kitchen equipment like a baking tray or saucepan lead to some DIY foil trays needing to be made for our pizzas!

Location is ideal and gives a home feel with all the basic requirements expected.

Could improve on the amenities in the kitchen for cooking, cleaning and tea making and for the toilet such as bathroom towels.

We got what we paid for, happy with that

Needed accommodation for the Edinburgh marathon weekend.... Edinburgh was crazy-expensive to book so we saved around £400 by saying here. The host was responsive and friendly, the house is big enough to sleep 6 (we had 4), the kitchen had everything you need, the area was quiet, the neighbours were friendly, the train station to Edinburgh was a 5 minute drive away.

To repeat myself, we are happy with what we got for our money..... For a balanced review, it's fair to say the house looks like it hasn't been decorated since the 70's, the oven needs cleaning etc. This didn't bother us and we would stay again, if you're looking for somewhere fancy then pay twice as much and stay in Edinburgh.

Decent property, can be better

Spacious , had all the facilities which I hoped for. Top floor rooms were comfortable

The property was dusty . Don’t think the bed linen and other furniture was cleaned before our arrival. Sofa bed in the living wasn’t much comfortable

A very pleasant stay

The house is clean, pleasant, and well facilitated. The environment is good in a quiet neighbourhood. There is a convenient store about ten minutes walk away. There is a little backyard where we can hang clothing after wash. The drive to Edinburgh city center is about half an hour which is not too bad.

The frying pans in the kitchen are very much scratched, and replacement is highly suggested. Bathroom floor towels/mats would be an add-on to keep the floor dry.

Family of 5 overnight stay.

The property was spacious, clean and the shower was hot with reasonable power. The parking was free and very close (at the front door) to the property. It was on a hill so we opted to park slightly further away on a flat road, even then it was very close as in 30 steps further from the front door. Overall was exactly what we needed for a 1 night stop over.

The property has a double bed, king bed and a sofa bed. All were clean, made and comfortable. However we stopped over with teens 2 boys and a girl. For us a twin would have been preferred. (However that was our fault for not reading the description through). Inevitably our teen boys moaned at having to share a bed. But they got over it 😀

I assumed it was off road parking, it was simply street parking outside The bed linen/towels were poor quality Bathroom cabinet dirty No breakfast, as air Bnb , no wire tray for grill pan Should not have key operated internal locks on external doors they should be operated by thumb turn so no key required in the event of an emergency escape
