About this apartment rental
Conveniently located and newly renovated, our private apartment at the Lofts of Old San Juan Luxury Apartments is perfect for brief stays or long term stays and offers a convenient home base to explore Puerto Rico! Our very large 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment on the 2nd floor offers the charm of antique mahogany doors that open to the street below and the Caribbean breeze. The master with King bed has an en-suite. The second bedroom has 2 Queen beds. The bedrooms are air conditioned, and with the doors open, will cool the entire apartment. The apartment is fully renovated with a clean and modern look and includes a full kitchen stocked with all cooking and dining utensils. We provide bath amenities, all linens and towels, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. This apartment includes high speed WIFI, streaming TV and a washer/dryer. The building is steps away from pharmacies, a full service supermarket, plazas, restaurants, bars and El Morro, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The building and the apartments are a piece of the architectural history of Old San Juan. Note, there is no free parking in Old San, but there are garages.

All travelers are required to provide a Covid vaccination card OR a negative test no more than 72 hours old. For guests staying more than 7 days who are non vaccinated, another negative Covid test must be provided.
The apartments are self check-in with a lockbox for each apartment beside it`s front door. The code will be included in the check in instructions. The key will open the handle lock. Enter the building and use the stairs to go to the 2nd floor. Apartment 201 is the first door on the right.
We are local and only a phone call away.
Old San Juan is one of the best places to visit in Puerto Rico. Old San Juan has an incredible 500 years of history, beautiful colonial architecture liberally splashed with tropical colors and timeless magic that makes it one of the most enchanting destinations in the Caribbean. You could spend many happy hours just walking around the walled city.
Perhaps nothing captures the history of Puerto Rico more than Old San Juan`s massive fortresses. El Morro and Castillo de San Cristobal are among the most visited attractions on the island for a good reason. Their cannons, ramparts, and layered defenses have guarded the walled city for centuries. Even the governor`s mansion, La Fortaleza, is called `The Fortress` because it was one of the settlement`s early defensive structures.
Paseo La Princesa is a broad promenade that stretches from near the docks at the foot of the city and leads to the lovely Raíces Fountain. On weekends, you`re likely to find all kinds of stalls lining the road, and maybe even a free cultural performance to enjoy. Paseo La Princesa hugs the old perimeter wall of the city, and beyond the fountain continues around Old San Juan to the San Juan Gate, the only remaining of five entry points into the old town.
The best time to enjoy the walk is during sunset when you`ll have gorgeous views of the bay from the fountain, and you`ll escape the heat of the day.
There is VERY little street parking in Old San Juan. You`ll find San Juan Taxis and Uber available a the airport. If you do rent a car, you`ll need to park in a lot or a garage. A nearby garage is La Cochera at 207 Calle San Francisco, San Juan, 00901.

Very walkable location - close to grocery, restaurants, and shopping! Good AC in the bedrooms, main room stayed cool enough. There is convenient valet parking around the corner for 25/day or you can do a short walk to the parking down by the water for 5/day. They provided beach towels & chairs which were great to have! Laundry machine very helpful too.

Great Location, everything as advertised & excellent communication. The location is close to everything in old San Juan. The property is clean with a large living area and well stocked. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in the area.

We (2 parents, 2 teenagers and a child) had a great stay from beginning to end - easy communication, flexible time in and out so we could make the most of our time (and delayed return flight). It is in the absolute heart of beautiful old San Juan. Great restaurants on the street and all within a 1-15 min walk. Beds were very comfortable, AC worked perfectly, laundry was quick and easy to use. The unit was clean and had plenty of towels, blankets, etc. It is located 1 short / easy flight upstairs.Because it is in the very center of everything, there is some street noise (people and cars) to be aware of. And as warned by the owner, the hot water is not so hot and water pressure low.There is a pharmacy and supermarket within 30 second walk if needed and so many sights and restaurants nearby. It made it easy for us to go out and about, come home to cool off and rest and go back out for more of this beautiful town. We Ubered to a car rental in San Juan and then parked our car in a garage about 1 min walk from the unit, for 25/24 hours. Super convenient. Thanks for a great first trip to PR - can't wait to return!
