Just a stones throw away from beautiful Lake Tomahawk, Lulu’s Cottage is a wonderful 1960s Cottage that offers guest a relaxing yet convenient stay in Black Mountain NC. Close to restaurants, shopping and breweries, there is something to do for everyone.

1 minute walk to the community tennis courts and Black Mtn pool.

Lake Tomahawk provides a gorgeous 1/2 mile loop perfect for walks or running. Views of the mountains to the North and South.

Enjoy the many shops of Black Mountain or take a 12 minute drive and explore all that Asheville has to offer.

Full size appliances, washer and dryer on site. One queen bed in bedroom and two oversized couches in living room perfect for children. Also provided is a Queen size inflatable mattress for overflow.

Spacious front patio and covered deck area provide quest room to spread out. Easy parking for two vehicles just out front.

We chose this place to stay by the pictures many months before we visited. It was easy to get to and find groceries, coffee shops, and restaurants. However the kitchen was so nice and well-equipped, we did not want to leave. The bed was comfortable, and nice TV.... I hated to leave. We will come back for sure.

The location of LuLu’s Cottage was perfect! It was walkable to downtown Black Mountain, about 1/2 mile. It’s also easy to get to the freeway as well and was about 15-20 minutes to get to Asheville. Often pictures of a property are deceiving, with rooms appearing larger than they are. This was just the opposite. The living room and kitchen were a great size, more than enough for two people. Our Host was very responsive to all of our questions or requests.

Great location. Wally and Virginia are super hosts and cottage is super clean! We enjoyed three visits in 2023 (spring, summer and fall). Plan to book at least three visits in 2024. Lulus has become our second home.

Lulu's Cottage is a lovely place completely decked out with everything we could possibly need! We had multiple dinners outdoors with adult children and grandchildren, ages 2-11. Walks and playing at the park at Lake Tomahawk across the street, plus lots of trips to everywhere we wanted to visit. Of course, dinners at restaurants in Black Mountain and a perfect Chuck Brodsky concert at White Horse made our visit complete. Our hosts and the cottage made everything perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at LuLu’s Cottage. It’s in a great location close to town with Lake Tomahawk right across the street. We brought our pup and enjoyed walking her around the lake. The cottage was clean and cozy with vintage decor and a gas fireplace. It’s a perfect spot for a couple to bring their dog to the mountains! Wally offered great communication. Cottage for 2 right on lake tomahawk. The lake has a nice .5 mile walking path. It's about 10-15 min walk to town. The cottage is nicely decorated with vintage items and signs. The age of house was felt, but easily overlooked. The owners were accommodating and friendly in communication.

This charming cottage is close enough to downtown Black Mountain to be convenient but tucked away in a neighborhood that surrounds Lake Tomahawk park. I enjoyed the balance of vintage decor with a serene mid-century space. Almost everything I needed was at my finger tips - except for a cheese grater which has since been donated. Thank you, Wally, for a delightful stay! Please give Lulu my regards 😊

Great cottage and just a few minutes from downtown Black Mountain! The cottage is so clean and in a quiet neighborhood and is across the street from a nice park. Enjoyed the close proximity to downtown. It’s also so close to Asheville and all it has to offer too. Wally is a great host, staying in contact throughout our visit when needed. Definitely recommend staying when you want a mountain getaway!

Lulu’s Cottage was so delightful. It was our first long term experience at a Vrbo property and we were more than pleased. I wish we could have stayed another month. Wally, the owner, was great. He made sure we were content and enjoying our stay. Everything we needed was at this property. We were walking distance from Lake Tomahawk, it was quiet and close to hiking at the Blue Ridge Parkway. The downtown section of Black Mountain is full of shops and fun restaurants. Best of all, people were so friendly.

This home is perfect for a couple. It is fully appointed and is great if you want to prepare your own meals or just sit by the fire. The location is fantastic and is only a few feet away from the area park and lake. As important, it is in easy biking or driving distance from all of thr shops and restaurants of Black Mountain. All together, this is a great cottage and I highly recommend it and its owner, Wally, if you are looking for a great place to spend a few days.

I drove up here with my 11 year old so he could see some snow on the ground for the first time in years. We got snowed in for a couple days as expected. The house is very close to the park and it was well stocked with coffee, toaster, can opener, dish soap, laundry soap etc. It was very comfortable!

Lulu's Cottage was a fantastic spot for our weekend getaway. The little house is located right at Lake Tomahawk and just a short walk from downtown Black Mountain. We walked almost everywhere we went for the entire weekend. The house was well-appointed, clean, and cozy. It was the perfect place for us to get away from everything and we look forward to returning!
