Such as; restaurants, breweries, shops, craft stores, picnic areas, walking paths, greenways and town festivities. There is also a nearby golf course, park and lake. You will be in downtown Black Mountain. Walking distance to downtown, near I-40; Montreat College; Camp Merri-Mac; Katazuma; Warren Wilson College; 20 minute drive to Asheville; 30 min drive to Catawba Falls.

We were able to book both units in this duplex for a family holiday gathering. Certainly, we could not have found anything better located in Black Mountain. As the property description indicates, we were just five minutes from the center of this lovely small town and five minutes from Lake Tomahawk Park. All of us, including our dogs, enjoyed our stay in Take-a-Hike.

My family and I had a great time at this place. It was clean, plenty of parking, nice porches to enjoy and man talk about location. This location is close to downtown Black Mountian. You can park you car and walk/ride a bike to everything!!!

Do not look at Google maps for this place. It’s way outdated. This place is gorgeous inside and out and would definitely come here again. Not only is it the perfect spot, but it absolutely quiet at night. I wish I could have had time to use the fire pit behind the house. I loved the balcony and the beds were super comfortable. It was amazing.
