The relaxing weekend we needed.

Everything about this place is amazing! Best place ever stayed the kitchen is perfect for making anything the kitchen was more than equipped with things I wouldn't have thought of that was useful although it isn't the biggest in the world but it's a nice studio that doesn't feel cramped! It was a shame to not been able to use the outdoor space due to been a bit foggy yet the experience of fog on arrival made when we woke up and opened the curtains and saw the view made it more special!! Pauline was really helpful for everything we needed and give us alot of privacy would like to stay here again for sure!! The bed was really comfortable!! The night light was a really nice touch next to the bed aswell as the space above for your cups of tea or glasses of water. The glass wear and cups was very plentiful aswell as some tea bags, coffee & sugar. The welcome with my name on was a extra nice touch too. Also the bathroom was really nice with some shower gel and shampoo was also a really nice touch aswell as the sliding doors was really helpful in the bedroom and living space is open and gives really nice separation without bending around doors. Really well vented when opening all the velux windows for when cooking!! The garden and the ponds and water features really nice touch and the garden in places could do with improvement for the most part of it very well presented and taken care of! The shop and walk down to fox valley shopping centre only a short walk to the "ALDI" & "HOME BARGAINS/Iceland and a handy LIDL to choose from it took us 10 minutes there and 15 minutes back due to some of hills been a bit of a killer on the knees carrying shopping. Was well worth it for the birds singing and nature down by the river on a lovely flat surface path down to the supermarket. There is also a pub a short 12 minutes away except in the opposite direction.

Like any where all ways for room of improvement. But there's nothing that spoils how good that experience of staying here a problem. VERY IMPRESSED!!

The legends that are Pauline and Malcolm 👍🏻

The property, facilities, grounds and particularly the hosts. They provided an excellent experience. They rushed to meet us upon arrival to warmly welcome us and help carry our belongings into the cottage. I had been very disengaged from the booking process due to being distracted , I had failed to respond to several emails including a confirmation of our attendance, all the instructions we needed and arrival times etc. This must have obviously caused them inconvenience yet they were so gracious, exceptionally flexible and even offered us additional services at no extra cost. They gave us a fantastic tour, very informative of everything we needed, the cottage was immaculate, very well appointed with everything we could need. The quality and craftsmanship of the woodwork was phenomenal which really elevated our experience and added to "The cosy loft vibe" . Thank you Pauline and Malcolm. David and I will definitely be back.

There really was nothing I could actually complain about at all. Yet I feel obliged to offer some form of useful critique. So if I was really clutching at straws the only thing that might concern some people is that although you are able to fully lock the apartment. The hosts are still able to gain access while your in it. Luckily the hosts were absolute legends so I felt completely safe . But I was with my man. If I was a single female traveller I might have been worried.

Memorable

The studio was cosy, quirky, clean and full of charm. The host was so friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel at home and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, memorable and well kept place to stay!

The location is lovely but theres more to see thats not within walking distance. So it would suit somone better with a car/bike unless you enjoy very long walks!

It was really nice staying here, and even when my plan got spoiled over this app they even tried their best to make up for it, letting me stay at the main house, these people are definetly one of a kind, and I'll be sure to visit much more often

Romantic, fun, perfect for a couple.

Good decor, quirky and carefully created space. Double bed on a raised platform was original and fab. Great shower, good heating, fabulous view over the hills. Had enough crockery etc but not excessive (a good thing). A friendly, homely place. Looking forward to returning. Entrance via garage (think of a large room with an up and over garage door - no car in there) not an issue at all. Accomodation was above and felt very safe and secure.

Very homely

Personal welcome message on the slate sign was a nice and unexpected touch. Overall, very clean and comfortable. Amazing view from window. Parking spot very convenient, though takes a bit of manouevering to get in and out if you're not good at reversing.

It was tricky and slightly precarious getting into and out of bed, via a series of three 'shelves'. Definitely unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

I travel a lot for work and this was by far the nicest stay Ive had for some time.

This is an absolute gem of a place. Only found it by chance but is my new favourite place to stay in Sheffield. The hosts could not have been more welcoming (Thank you for the toast, tea and natter in the morning!). The apartment itself is separate from the house and so offers lots of privacy and some lovely views. The kitchen is well equipped and fresh milk in the fridge for a brew was a lovely touch after a long day. My partner and I have two holiday lets of our own so we know how hard it is to achieve this standard.

Genuinely nothing to put in this box. The only thing perhaps would be that the bed is a mid sleeper so if you have mobility difficulties that could be a hinderance but other than that it's just right.

My fault - hadn't checked photos closely, so didn't realize we had to go up steps to high bed, under the sloped ceiling. We managed, and the bed itself was very comfortable, but a little tricky to access!

Malcolm and Pauline were wonderful hosts - super easy to talk to and incredibly helpful with great knowledge of the local area. The Studio had everything we needed and was thoughtfully designed. Location was excellent, allowing us to quickly get to local hikes in the peaks. Would definitely stay again!
