Overall luxurious comfortable accomodations if you don't mind being in a remote location.

The accommodations were extremely comfortable and well appointed with plenty of room to spread out. Laundry is available onsite which was great. The kitchen had everything you could ask for in the way of appliances and dishes. It definitely felt like a home rather than a hotel.

The location is quite remote so once you are there it is a trek to get food or visit other parts of the Isle so plan ahead. They promoted their onsite tasting dinner which was underwhelming and overpriced. I would skip that and eat while exploring other parts of the isle or self cater. If I could do it over again I would stay in Portree proper for the most convenience exploring the isle.

Perfect reclusive stay on Skye

An adorable little home in the perfect location on the island! This rental was perfect for our family of 5 (all adults). We stayed for 3 nights and only got lucky with the weather on one day, which was when we discovered that Flora's Secret is in a gorgeous location surrounded by farm lands and mountains, but still close to the main attractions (30 mins from portree, 10 mins from Quirang). Our not so great weather day, we stayed in and enjoyed the wood stove and full kitchen and didn't leave the house for the entire day. All the areas were very clean and well furnished, perfect for 5 adults!

Not much! The road is very curvy on the way in and in the dark is a tad tricky to navigate. Upon arrival the restaurant staff, where you check in, was a little confused about who we were and our booking but it was quickly rectified! We also wish the restaurant had a bar where we could just have a pint within walking distance of the house.

Our stay could not have been improved upon, well could have done without Storm Amy but it did add a layer of excitement.

Good but a little disappointing

Comfortable rooms and nice location. Having a washing machine and dryer was great.

Hot water was an issue. Not nearly enough for five people which at this price point was disappointing.Kitchen needs a few more utensils and a decent frying pan as you need to cook here with remote location.

If Monkstadt is your location of choice, this is definitely somewhere to stay. The property was very comfortable, clean and had lots of amenities.

A comfortable and peaceful stay in charming, well-located accommodation.

A peaceful location, perfectly located for the activities we wanted to do whilst on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Our stay was extremely comfortable (the heating was on for a wonderfully toasty arrival), and we very much enjoyed our stay here. We were impressed with the availability of logs for the fire, and the decent supply of basics such as salt and pepper shakers, tea/coffee/etc, dishwasher tablets, oil and even an excellent supply of toilet paper! The wifi connection was also strong. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice.

A stunning property. It feels very special. Clean, modern & comfortable. The facilities were great & I loved the skylights in the bedrooms to look at the stars. The fireplace was lovely & kept the living areas super warm & cosy. Super quiet & isolated without being too remote.

This was the hit of the vacation.

Wonderful location. Comfortable cottage. Friendly people. Dinner at the main lodge was excellent.

We liked everything. However, if you have a choice of cottages, Flora’s Secret # 7 seems to be the only one without a view of the loch from inside the cottage. The views from outside are spectacular, however, and there are nice hillside views from the bedrooms. The shower controls seemed to be a mix of high tech digitally controlled appliances and old school not quite there British plumbing that we never quite managed to get working comfortably - odds on that was user error rather than a flaw of the property.

Absolutely perfect! Exceeded expectations!

Absolutely wonderful! Great location for hikes and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Isle of Skye. Beds were comfortable and it was wonderful having a kitchen.

There was some olive oil, but maybe having a few seasonings around would be lovely for it being far away from restaurants and cooking was mostly what we did for dinners.

Very happy with stay at this facility.

Nicely furnished, nice views from the facility in both directions, good location for getting to hiking trails, not that far from Portree and grocery shopping. I left a print I had purchased in the unit when we departed. I contacted them, they found the print and have mailed it to me. They were very responsive when I contacted them and got it in the mail promptly - very appreciated.

Both pillows on bed were firm and uncomfortable, one could have been softer. Difficult to get the water temperature right in the showers. All the washing machines in the laundry were being used by housekeeping, including the machine for use by guests and not available for guest use.

A jewel in the crown

Location was great... the building is fabulous , large and highly spec'd. A comfortable stay. Dog friendly. Quite remote. Th restaurant is walking distance (5 mins) and fabulously imtimate.

The Log fire was damaged by previous guests and needed a little sorting out by the owner who was helpful. Some of the sky lights were screwed closed as it looked like they had leaked in bad weather.

Peaceful stay

Floras secret is lovely and clean and cosy.

Views aren’t really able to be enjoyed from the room and if you go outdoor to enjoy the view there are no comfortable seating areas. Would have been prefect to have some sun loungers / maybe decked area to sit outside. There are some picnic tables however they aren’t comfy to lay on and read.

An ancient house in a magical place, but facilities too basic for the price& no view from the house

The location was amazing, fantastic views with remote feel. Quite magical. The hosts very friendly and helpful. An ancient building full of atmosphere.

The 8 cottages are all very close together and non has any privacy- you walk past the windows of every cottage on the way to your own. No view from the cottage other than a small kitchen window ,and with your body out of the first floor velax. Facilities rather basic for the price. Pots and pans & one toilet dirty on arrival. Host gave us a discount to compensate for the latter
