Hotel Huaraz

Nice and clean hostel. The staff; Willy and Yanela were very friendly and always around if you have any questions. I arrived to I left they did everything possible to make my stay perfect. The breakfast was great! Hot water piping, Yanela was helpful with all my requests. On my last day after checking out, I returned from my trekking and they allowed me to take a shower without charging me. Location is near from Plaza das Armas. They also recommended a great restaurant El Fogón that is just one block from the hotel.

☹ Nothing comes to mind

The staff of the Hotel Huaraz are very kind and helpful, clean and nice room, good hot water in the shower. Good breakfast, nice shared kitchen, the wifi, the rooms, and kitchen facilities. Plus, the location was ideal. Unlike a regular hotel, this place is super quiet. We stayed in Huaraz for two weeks and in between our hikes we stayed at Hotel Huaraz. They also offer and organize all tours at the best rates.

☹ Nothing

Close to city center. Free simple breakfast.

The shower drain in my bathroom did not work at all, pretty gross. There’s a window that opens into the hallway (with curtains that don’t cover too well especially from the sides).. & this is more of another guest issue but I heard people moaning possibly from a few doors down? I only stayed for one night so I didn’t have the energy to complain and move around.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large with a comfortable chair.

Hot water in the shower was a problem. On one occasion it was only warm, on the day I was leaving there was no hot water at all.
