Super nice staff, the restaurant is really good, they provide everything you need if you have tours planned etc. Highly recommended.

I had some issues with my payment. They were really helpful, called their bank and in the end I got my money back but they need to review the bank that they are using for card payments.

Everything ( market, central plaza, shops and restaurants) is within walking distance. It is very clean and comfortable.

I stayed at La Casa de Zarela for five nights and felt genuinely comfortable throughout. The room was cleaned every day, cozy and enough space for arranging my stuff. The WiFi was super fast so I could even work when I needed to. I especially loved the common areas: relaxed outdoor sitting spots where you can unwind after an exhausting day of hiking. The true standout is Zarela herself. She is a warm and attentive host who helped me plan all of my tours and hikes with patience and local expertise — always available when you needed her. She also offers flexible breakfast solutions, when you start your hike very early. The Thai restaurant on-site is a pleasant surprise, the Pad Thai is delicious and not something you’d expect to find in Huaraz. What’s also worth mentioning is that they are very accommodating when it comes to dietary needs, whether you have food intolerances or follow a vegetarian diet, you’ll be well taken care of here. If you’re spending time in Huaraz, La Casa de Zarela is a great choice and I totally recommend it.
