Charming, quirky and very comfortable!

Great place to stay - particularly if you like something a little bit different from the norm. Great host, really friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room, with excellent WiFi. Parking was easy, right outside the property and the wonderful centre is a short walk away. Thanks for a great stay. 👍

Super quirky rooms close to centre of Tournai

Nico was a brilliant host- we arrived early and he let us keep our bikes in his garage until the room was ready. He has two rooms which are semi basement - quirky doesn't even cover it!!! The most unusual room I have ever stayed in- the room has a lot of ' artefacts' in it and as a poor sleeper I was amazed I had a great night's sleep.

The two rooms share a toilet- this wasn't a problem for us.

Vive la difference Nico!

Located just a 10-15 mins walk from centre of town in a converted military hospital, it is a lovely and quirky place to stay. Free parking is available very close and Nico is a charming and friendly host.

We had an extremely pleasant one-night stay. The owner was very friendly (both to us and our two dogs). The rooms are quirky and comfortable, and the accommodation is located in a nice neighbourhood just a short walk to the city centre. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Tournai!

Interesting property, great value, but check it is suitable for your travelling group.

An interesting property that is good value for money and convenient for the town centre or if you are stopping over on the way to somewhere else. The host was nice and obviously proud of his property. Which is very clean and entertaining in its design. The bed is very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the sink in the room had an eggy drain smell during our stay, and a strong-smelling electric diffuser was in place. The odour was very strong to the point that I struggled to sleep. The building isn't quite what I had imagined from the description for this room, it is very obvious when you enter that the property is also used for specific types of parties. If you google 'Secret Room Tournai' you will get the drift. Not really an issue for us as an adult couple. The shared toilet was a little uncomfortable due to the close proximity of an unnecessary urinal to the loo and no hand soap.

A very distinctive accommodation located very close to the city center. Rooms are very nice and well decorated. A great place to stay if you need a comfy nights sleep and like something a little different. Owner was very accommodating and the price was very reasonable.

It could do with some better signage hard to find easily in a large apartment complex.

Fun, unique and eclectic property. Very pioneering in urban, adaptive re-use. One of the most interesting lodging experiences I have ever had, via Booking. Nico, the owner, is super helpful. Highly recommend!

Sleeping in an old military hospital surrounded by fun objects and art was a treat.

The location, an old military hospital, was perfectly located with easy access to the center of town. The building and room decor were a wonderful collect of objects and art work. It was worth the very reasonable price of the room just to be able to see the art work. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our host was very kind and helpful, giving us excellent directions to the Fine Art Museum that we had come to visit and restaurant tips. We will definitely go back again. It might not be the place for everyone but we loved it and all of the art and objects reminded us of our home.

The Wi-Fi was poor but that was not a problem for us.

Un lieu original et convivial

Nuit offerte à des amis en visite. Voici leur commentaire : Décor très original, accueil fort sympathique, lieu bien tenu! Café, thé, liberté. Très bon rapport qualité-prix et proximité avec les commerces. Parking facile et gratuit.

La chambre étant au sous-sol, il y avait de l'humidité. En hiver, difficile d'ouvrir le vasistas (air froid) donc légère odeur de moisissure. Petit déj à chercher à l'extérieur.

Logement excellent, réservé à la dernière minute pour une nuit, et quelle belle surprise ! Tout était impeccable, très propre, confortable et parfaitement conforme à l’annonce. L’accueil a été simple et efficace, et nous avons passé une nuit très agréable. Nous recommandons sans hésiter et reviendrons avec plaisir.

Nico est super gentil et accueillant, excellent rapport qualité prix, toilettes partagés mais très propres, possibilité de se faire un thé ou un café. Mini frigo avec des boissons (à payer à part) disponible dans la chambre, lit confortable, bonne connexion wi-fi, couverts, tasses et verres à disposition.

Pas adapté à des personnes qui ne souhaitent pas partager les toilettes et qui souhaitent avoir beaucoup de lumière dans la chambre (c'etait pas un problème pour moi). Le lieu est très calme la nuit, mais on peut entendre les bruits de la chambre en face. Je conseille de ramener des boullesquies si vous avez le sommeil un peu léger :)

Bizarre slaapplaats 🤣 lekker koel, geweldige prijs/kwaliteit. Je kunt gewoon koffie en thee pakken en allerlei kleine attenties; snoepjes op je bed, een broodje voor ‘s morgens, ouderwetse kauwgum bij het vertrekken. Daarnaast is alles aanwezig, van deo tot laadstekkers
