Comfy beds
Front door of room 3 accommodation wouldn’t open from the inside due to swelling of wood. Big fire hazard !! Rang the owner to get us out of room. We were put in a different room. The pub wasn’t open until 4pm so couldn’t check in on arrival.

There are only 3 rooms and all are identical. Each consists of the bedroom and en suite bathroom. Due to architecture, the rooms are not that big, but perfectly adequate. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom contained a variety of soap, shampoos and shower caps that would put some higher class hotels to shame. Excellent tea/coffee making facilities and yummy biscuits. The breakfast basket in the room was adequate, but not exciting. Overall, excellent value for money and we would happily stay there again.
The breakfast could have been better.

Location in the village
Pub didn’t serve food, breakfast was a basket with packaged items which I found inadequate and severely lacking the country pub stay vibe
Due to the room location Church Clock chimed very loudly every 15 minutes day and night and full hour chimed on the hour kept me awake I would never recommend or use the property again

I liked the pub itself and the fact that it was set away from the main road, with an outlook onto the village green. The interior of the pub was lovely - very nicely decorated. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
The bedroom, while small, had been tastefully renovated, although we had an issue with the ensuite (see below).
I liked the fact that they provided generous breakfast hampers, too, and lots of bottled water to use in tea/coffee and porridge in the morning.
The main things we didn't like were the noise from outside, the fact that there wasn't a restaurant and the fact that the ensuite in our room had an open top (ie no ceiling within the room) which meant the person in the bed area could hear everything that was going on in the ensuite. Not pleasant.

Great location, staff are very friendly, immaculately clean & very comfortable. We always stay here when visiting this part of the country.

They did not serve breakfast. But left a tray with porridge and a fruit bar and a bottle of orange.
I asked if this room was on the ground floor as I do not manage stairs very well. But you are told to ask after we booked. No contact telephone number was supplied only a strange one to which there was no answer. Perhaps this is booking.com. I don't feel that I could use you again.

breakfast in room was just fine would have preferred it outside the room
The Bell,s ringing at 1am in the morning leaving no time for rest or peace , I planned a restful stay after a operation , it was anything but !! I think guests need to know that

Its a room with a bed and a working bathroom. Hearing the church bells every 15 minutes was really cool, as well as the town of Cavendish itself. Nice breakfast baskets provided to the room.
No where to put luggage or hang clothes. No drawers. No hair dryer. No hooks to hang towels, no where to even hold soap or shampoo in the shower. Hard to manage the temperature of the room. Staff is essentially the bartender in the pub next door who hands you the key.

The pub had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were wonderful. The rooms are located next to the pub in a renovated barn. Our room included all the usual amenities along with extras like snacks, bottled water, and earplugs for the church bells. While the bells may not appeal to everyone, they fit perfectly with the charm of the village, and they honestly didn’t bother me at all. Overall, it offered excellent value for the money, and I would definitely recommend it.

They had porridge pots and snacks in the room as Pub does not do food at all, but for our purposes it was OK. A good location to look around the village and nearby villages, nice old country village right next to the church so you do not need an alarm clock ! And a small tea room cafe opposite the green with good choice of sandwiches and cakes etc
For our purpose nothing to not like

Lovely welcome. Privacy. In a purpose built room next to the pub with a lovely high ceiling. Breakfast pack provided. Location next to the church on the village green. Friendly atmosphere. Nearby pub serving great burgers.
The bed was a little uncomfortable but only one of us thought that so not a major negative.

Beautiful property and very tidy and clean room. Very nice welcome by the staff member. Nice continental breakfast within the room.
Personally, the bed was very uncomfortable for me, too soft.

Situated in a beautiful village. Well maintained interior, large comfortable bed and the little breakfast basket was a really nice and welcome touch as were the ear plugs for the church bells!
Out of the owners control of course but light sleepers be aware the church bells chime through the night.

Beautiful location. Warm welcome and extremely friendly and welcoming staff.
Room was beautiful and clean.
Only downside was no roof over the bathroom, making privacy difficult.

Location overlooking Quiet green and next to lovely pub. Very good food in pub around the corner. Lovely staff in both pubs. Very comfortable bed and hot shower.
Would have liked parking space in front of room door, as guests to the pub parked there and created some noise when leaving. Although not too late to affect us.

Great location - beautifully clean - and well organised
It would have been nice to have stayed in the Inn rather than in an annexe

Quintessential location. Beautifully designed little apartments compact but perfect. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Plenty of Tea,coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, water provided. Lovely breakfast basket with quality produce provided. Communication with property excellent, very helpful and friendly. Toiletries and towels .
Church was a little noisy next door, but ear plugs are provided.

The location was great. Such a pretty village.
The pub has many tables that overlook the large village green. Great for the warm summer evening I was there.
The staff were friendly and professional.
The drain in the shower was not great.
The rooms are next to the Church and the Church bells chime on the hour every hour which might be a problem for light sleepers. Take some ear plugs.
The bathroom is a wet room but I was worried it might flood outside.
The Wi-Fi was just about adequate but possibly not for streaming on demand channels.
No food served the pub and other local pubs in the village were closed down.
The TV had no channels tuned. Not a massive problem for me.

Pub goers not considerate when leaving

Room was clean and had all the basics. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was basic and the breakfast was ok (pot of fruit, porridge and breakfast bar). The staff in the pub were friendly and the village was beautiful.
The chalet was next door to the church. The church bells rang EVERY 15 MINUTES ALL NIGHT. Obviously we didn’t sleep and this morning s the reason for the poor feedback. We should have been told prior to booking and booking would’ve booked somewhere else.
