Nice stay

The accommodation is in a very nice building, located right in the city center and very close to the beach. Despite the central location, it was quiet and peaceful. The space is large, comfortable, and offers a very nice view. The staff were very friendly, and the key collection process was easy and well organized. Definetly will come back.

In our case, the coffee machine was missing, but this was not an issue at all. With so many great coffee shops and pastry places nearby, it would almost be a pity to stay inside for coffee instead of going out and enjoying the area.

Good location. Easy to get to and from tram and old town.

Kitchen bit old and lacked some basic equipment (only had 3 cups for 4 people). Rest of apartment was clean and furnished well for a short stay. Good value for money.

Location is perfect. Air Con is efficient. Luggage storage in hotel Aston is very good.

Kitchen facilities (frying pans,) are old and used,should be changed to new ones. No dishwasher liguid available. Living room sofa is very uncomfortable to sit . Only one key available. No hooks for towels in the bathroom.

The location was so good that at the end it grew on me.

The location and the A/C was a 10 out of 10.

There is absolutely no amenities. Very strange even non-perishable from others was not kept. I travel a lot and stay at AirB&Bs. Never seen anything like this. Elevators are in middle floors. So regardless you need to move your languages up the stairs for at least one floor. Master bedroom smelled like mold.

Relaxing and excellent stay

We had lovely stay at Aston apartment. It was much bigger in real than pics shown. Location is excellent, near to beach, shopping, old town, cafes and restaurants. Staff at Aston hotel was very helpful. We left our luggage with them on last day after check out as our flight was in evening.

Shower had no holder and shower curtain was not there, making it hard to shower.

Great appartment on excellent location close to everything

Nicely decorated apartment with airconditioning. Great location between the old city, beach and all the shops. Everything on walking distance. Big kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven and fridge with small freezer. Beds were comfortable.

It was not a big problem but the shower was in the bath and there was no handle to hang the shower so you needed to sit in the tun and hold the shower with one hand.

The location was perfect. The apartment was big. The staff were nice.

The toilet was broken (nonstop heavy running water), they said they'll send someone to fix it, but nobody came and we managed to fix it ourselves. There was NO toilet paper, and only 2 towels (we booked for 3 people), when I came to reception to tell about this - they gave me 2 toilet paper rolls and a towel and I had to walk like this down the streets (the apartment is located in different building than hotel). We booked for 3 people, but only bedroom bed was made, we had to make a sofa bed ourselves. They take 500€ (extra) deposit ONLY by credit card. 2 of my debit cards didn't work for them, and I had to give them 500€ in cash..

Overal satisfied

Overall nice apartment, great balcony and nice that windows can fully open. Beds where good. air-con’s worked in all rooms. Kitchen perhaps a touch small, but we did not plan to use it anyhow. Washer/dryer was also practical to have.

Only challenge is the noice from the restaurant terrace. We where on 2e floor. But I guess that is also somewhat normal in the city.

Wonderful location- 5 minutes to centre of town, 5 minutes to beach. Flat comfortable, functional, tastefully decorated. Great view. Noisy location, solved with double glazing and air-conditioning. Great staff.

Kitchen poorly equipped: mismatched poor quality plates, cups, cutlery. No sharp knife, no scissors, no corkscrew- At odds with the excellence of the rest of the flat.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, the staff at the hotel were great, and the restaurant downstairs was fabulous. location is the best, between high shopping, restaurants and bars and the old town for a more traditional nice experience.

upgrade to the shower facility could be done as it’s just a shower hose hanging on the taps, with a flimsy shower temporary shower curtain

Good location but beware of ant infestation in apartment 5

The location is great because it's really close to the Old Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and loudness. Most of the Hotel Aston staff were great, and helped us with checkin and brought us up to our apartment. After having the wrong entrance code given at checkin, we eventually got in. The apartment we got (#5) was on the 5th floor, which had elevator access but you still needed to take a set of stairs. Wifi was decent, and there were two sink/shower rooms, with only 1 toilet which was separate from the former rooms.

We were very disappointed with the response of the hotel front desk staff at Hotel Aston, in particular, a woman named Catherine when we informed them of an ant problem. She minimized our claims of having ants in apartment 5. She then accused us for not cooperating because we didn't return to the apartment on her command, but as we were tourists in town for a few days, we were exploring, leaving for a full day most of the time. It's an older building, so this is ok. On day 1, we checked in the evening, got dinner in Old Town and went to bed. On the morning of Day 2, we noticed a few in the bathrooms, which we brushed off. On the morning of day 3, we saw more, so we purchased Raid in the morning and set it out. Again, we were out most of the day. To our horror, we woke on day 4 to dead ants all over the kitchen counters and floors. When we brought this to the attention on the same day, Catherine was dismissive. Eventually after some time, she called us after we had left to explore for the day, and she got annoyed hat we were not present, said they couldn't enter without us being present (ironic because on Day 2, we had been asked to allow a locksmith to enter and change the locks??) Since we did not have plans to return within an appropriate time before nightfall, we avoided the kitchen (we hadn't used it at all besides to refrigerate water). On the day of check out, we let her know once again, and she diminished us once again. It wasn't until maintenance was finally sent up to investigate, in which he exclaimed that it was a bad situation. We asked to have our cleaning fee waived or some refund to 'make it right' but she was argumentative and promptly told us no. Despite the great location, is not worth the money we paid to have an ant infestation problem. It is also not worth getting talked down upon either. Most of the other staff were great, but we have a very negative experience with Catherine and this really impacted our stay.

On check-in there was a little confusion and we were not told about breakfast so we did not utilize this.

Sunny, warm Christmas in the heart of Nice, near the OLD CITY Center in a charming apartment

Location, location, location. In the heart of Nice Ville, just near Hotel Aston 4 stars (these apartments belong to this hotel), spacious, new, and nicely furnished.

One of the bathrooms (salle d'eau) was full of ants, like hundred of them. The building is old and refurbished inside/ out, so that is probably why the ants are difficult to eliminate. The cleaning was not done correctly, we took an apartment for 5 people so we had to use the living room couch as well. When it was opened there were dark long hairs on the mattress. There was no vacuum cleaner, we stayed over a week and we are used to living in a clean environment. We were not able to clean the floors the way we like.

A weekend get away not to be forgotten.

This was an attractive and clean apartment in the center of Old Town, Nice France. After a long day of exploring and shopping it was nice to return to a cozy and clean apartment. The location of this apartment was perfect. We walked from the train station to the apartment and saw many of the "Not to be missed" tourist attractions all on foot. There are also many fabulous restaurants within walking distance.

unfortunately a list of issues with the facilities and stained furniture. cleaning wasn’t highest. quite a list of simple things that should have been checked and easily solved. attention needed to check customers are ok too. no follow through of promised tv engineer to help fix it loo smelt all through the stay suggesting a plumbing issue

Bad

Endure a bad incident in dublin airport on 10th September and tried without any reply to contact this premises to update them with all that went on with Aer Lingus as I’m sure most people knew that weekend. Sent several emails and messages for 5 days and still no reply to date. My family will get to Nice soon but we’ll never stay here. No problem in taking my money or in answering messages prior to our trip but once my money was taken, absolutely no customer service.
