The Cottage:
This beautiful cottage is right on the edge of the sea, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the approaches to Killary Bay. It is located on the grounds of Renvyle House Hotel. Guests in the cottages get to use the amenities that the hotel has on offer as part of their stay. This includes outdoor heated swimming pool (in summer months), boating on the lake, fishing/fly fishing, Croquet, tennis, walks and of course the bar and award winning restaurant. The walk to the hotel is about 5 minutes meaning you can relax with out having to worry about getting home. The cottage has uninterrupted views of Rusheenduff lake and the Atlantic islands of crump, Inishturk and Achil.
The location is perfect discover all that Connemara has to offer and with the hotel so close you can treat yourself to a gorgeous cooked breakfast in the morning or cook at home.
Inside:
You enter into a large open plan room with Sitting room, Dining area & Kitchen. There are 2 sofas in the sitting area (1 is a sofa bed) & a newly instated turf burning stove – You will be given a bin of turf to make sure you enjoy the stove. The sittiing room has a large window with beautiful views of the lake & ocean. The kitchen has all modern cons including dishwasher & in the utility room the is a washing machine & dryer & also a freezer. Making it perfect for families.
Also downstairs is a newly renovated bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom. Up stairs you with find a double and twin room with built in wardrobes. There is also another bathroom with a bath & hand shower.
There is also a stove, dishwasher, washing & dryer, newly renovated bathrooms.

As timeshare owners we appreciate the upgrade work that has taken place both within the property and to the approach avenue/roadway - no more pot holes is a great plus.. The cushions and dining chair fabric seats urgently need to be re-upholstered as they are frayed and shabby and let the dining area down, so hopefully this is on the list for the coming winter maintenance. We always bring rinse aid with us for the dishwasher and this is always, in our experience, in need of replenishing the machine also indicated that it needed salt so I hope someone keeps this under review. General cleanliness was good and the beds and bedding were of a high standard and very comfortable though under beds and sofas needed vacuuming and the spider webs and spiders were so plentiful that we took out the vacuum cleaner on day one to tackle these as our grandchildren were afraid of them. one light was not working over the vanity unit in the downstairs bedroom but this may have been a new issue not spotted before our arrival and everything else seemed to be in good working order. Many thanks we enjoyed our stay as always.

Our stay was wonderful. The house is very comfortable and the view is spectacular no matter what the weather. The hotel facilities on the doorstep are superb. Bar food is great for a quick fix but restaurant is of a very high standard. Service and attention is top class. Apart from beach you have to drive to all the sites but they are well worth a visit. We recommend diamond hill and kylemore abbey.
Weather is a bonus so pack for all seasons.
Local shops have most items and Cliffden is 20 mins away for a big shop.
We will definitely be back
