A magical stay at Ulu Cliffhouse!

- The staff were absolutely exceptional and were the most wonderfully attentive, kind and caring professionals. They went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. 5* service. - As an in house guest, we had priority of tables and loungers. The views were magnificent. - Lovely atmosphere and good vibes - Inclusive Yoga and Pilates in the morning - Food was SO good- breakfast had such much variety and all tasted delicious. Lovely coffee! - Room was huge! Lovely aircon. Very clean, neat and well equipped. - Outdoor shower- was a bit nervous at first- but absolutely wonderful experience showering under the stars! - Fun evening activities on certain nights. We arrived on movie night which was super cosy. - As said before the staff make this place extra special. They even did a turn down service and left cupcakes. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

- If you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. We could hear planes at night (not Ulu Cliffhouse fault) - The phone number on booking.com does not connect you to the hotel so perhaps needs updating?

My stay was an Uluwatu dream.

The property is incredible. The landscape cliffside view of the Indian Ocean is a dream, and the poolside amenities are 10/10. They also had yoga and pilates every morning for an extra fee,e but it was minimal. Lastly, the restaurant on the property was great. The food was always fresh and yummy, and the service was excellent.

The only negative comment I can make is about the lighting in the room. It's VERY dark and my room which was #6 had no windows except for a tiny bathroom window in the shower and in the toilet room. There was no natural light but even worse the lights were very dim edison bulbs meant for sexy mood lighting but not for doing your makeup or even just seeing your face as you wash it. You also can't properly see your outfit in the mirror because it's so dark so if this is important to you then it may not be the best option. I ended up asking for an extra light which they kindly provided me with and it was better than before but still not great.

Gorgeous staff, beautiful location, stunning rooms and excellent food

The food was amazing but most of all, it was the staff and location that made the stay absolutely wonderful. As guests, a you were given the absolute VIP treatment. Gorgeous rooms and little garden areas. It was also quiet as no events when we were there ( we stayed in the week)

The music around the pool was a little loud and could have been turned off earlier but younger people might like this more so you can’t please everyone ! Nothing else could be improved / it was perfect

Great venue to watch the surf and listen to good tunes but needs a bit of maintenance

It was in a great location and had a good view of the waves. Rooms were quite eclectic

The first room I was put in was above the toilets and stank of poo wafting up from below. They kindly moved me to another room on the other side which was much better as it didn’t smell. The day beds by the pool were quite stained and need new covers.

Gorgeous location; review if the rooms/vibes are what you want before booking

Ulu cliffhouse is a gorgeous spot. The view from the resort is fantastic. The staff were lovely and if texted would arrange whatever we wanted in terms of reservations at dinner or the pool chair. The breakfast that was included was great. It was so nice to sit and have a coffee with the gorgeous view. The pool was fantastic. The cocktails were great.

The place is noisy at night as it is a beach club. The music goes until 10ish, but on weekends later. So even though it's a small number of rooms, the pool and restaurant and bars are busy. So it was a little less intimate than we were expecting. It's a very bumpy/steep road to get to the property so we didn't find it walkable to leave. We also didn't realize the units are a bit back and no balcony, so it means you have good views from the window, but you have to sit at the pool to really enjoy the view. Our unit only had an outdoor shower that if you were over 5ft7 you'd hit your head and could hear the entrance so it felt a little exposed.

I had such a wonderful time during my brief stay at Ulu Cliffhouse. The staff were great, the food options by the pool were really good and the sun beds are included in the price of your room so you don’t have to pay extra for these. It’s such a beautiful location and so many good restaurants up the road. In the early evening I got a knock on the door with a hand delivered box of chocolates and handmade cookies. It was a special touch and I appreciated it!

Unfortunately the property is located down a very bumpy narrow road and when it rains many potholes are full of water so tricky to navigate and the shower water oddly tasted like chlorine I think but no huge biggie here. I personally am a bit funny with noise, I’m a light sleeper so for me personally I’d only stay during the week when they don’t have events on or weekend djs or anything. I popped my earplugs in which helped drown out any sound but yep, I personally couldn’t handle anything louder than you’re regular Wednesday evening noise/music etc

Disappointed but staff were lovely

Everything was beautiful

After we booked we found out it was a beach club. We received an email shortly after we booked. We are older and the music went for all hours. We did not get to have a lot of sleep. Definately too old for that scene very uncomfortable. The bedroom wasn’t comfortable enough for us to hang around in there. Very disappointed it wasn’t made clear it was a beach house before we booked. I wanted to leave after 1st day however it would have been money wasted. Massage was amazing

The view is undoubtedly the best in town, but unfortunately, the experience was let down by several issues. The staff weren’t very forthcoming, and at times, it felt like we were met with resistance rather than assistance. We were surprised to see staff wearing shoes inside the rooms, which didn’t align with our expectations. Food options were quite limited, mostly catering to Western tastes, and the room had an unpleasant scent. Sadly, the stunning view couldn’t quite make up for these shortcomings.

Amazing location with great service

We had our wedding at the ocean deck at Ulu Cliffhouse and we could have not chosen a better place. The service was excellent and everyone made us feel welcome and looked after us. We booked the Playground Room for three nights which was incredibly spacious and with a fantastic view. I can just highly recommend staying here for a few nights and enjoying the scenery.

Highly recommend for hotel + beach club in one experience

We really loved our stay at Ulu Cliffhouse. It is particularly perfect if you are looking for a hotel that can also serve as a beach club/day activity during your time in Uluwatu. Staff is very nice and accommodating and facilities are great. We were there on Monday night and there was no loud music.

We staid in a sea view suites and there was a peculiar and unpleasant smell in the bedroom. The staff quickly fixed it with incense though after which it was fine.

Amazing ocean view but management has some work to do

The views from the location are amazing. The food from the restaurant tasty. The general atmoshpere is pleasant, chill beach club style. The staff was very nice and polite.

The communication was not very great. Before our checkin nobody responded to our booking messages and to the whattsup messages we sent to the number provided on booking were left unanswered. After we arrived, we found out that there were some private parties that restrained us from using all facilities which was disturbing as we were informed only when we wanted to use them (e.g.: birthday party at the restaurant).

Amazing 4 days spent in absolute paradise!

The ambience, the view, the IMPECCABLE service & accommodation. Everything from start to finish was amazing. No ask was ever too big or small and the hotel was only a short distance from El Kabron (another amazing beach club in Uluwatu).

Ulu Cliff house is our favourite! Second time staying here and we will 100% be back! The staff are so friendly, the breakfast is great, rooms are huge, the location is insanely beautiful and the cliff colada could go down as one of the best cocktails ever!

We booked a particular room and we didn’t get it! There must have been a mix up in our booking so we were very disappointed but they did compensate us and refunded us some money!

Exceptional

Ulu Cliffhouse is such an incredible property. The staff are exceptional, both Krisna and Wayan took such wonderful care of us the entire of our stay. Everyone was so dedicated and made us feel so welcome from the beginning all the way till the end. The rooms are also beautiful and are very clean. Food and drink are also delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying.

On weekends the music is very loud which you can hear from the rooms. During the week there is no music.
