Wow! This is the perfect holiday spot. The location is unbeatable, coupled with the facilities and the staff? Highly, highly recommended,

The property was amazing, especially the sauna facilities and the swimming poool with a great view for sunset. The staff was very welcoming and ready to help whenever. I will definitely come back for a longer stay.

It’s like a hidden gem in Uluwatu. One of the best views here, or maybe the best view. I loved the place, people who work there - they all were very sweet and kind. Bed is very comfortable, toilets and showers are very clean. It all smells so nice. At night, when everybody leaves, you can lay next to pool and listen to waves and it’s magical.
Influencers sneaking behind guards back and taking pics for the gram. I really don’t get breaking the rules.

Beautiful location nice small hotel
The good is vegan which is fine but the food is not amazing is not stay here again because it ruined my stay

Amazing place. I highly recommend. Location is convenient too. Spa and pool are next level.
Restaurant wasn't my favourite and quite expensive.

Room size is comfortable for 2 pax
Spa facilites are good
Restaurant serves only vegan but there are some cafes/restaurants nearby hotel
Yoga sessions are good
There are 2 kinds of Oxygen chamber - one is "soft" (for those with sensitive ears due to pressure) and the other is "high" (where pressure of the oxygen flow is higher)
Hotel does not have massage facility - but they can organize a third party therapist to come to your room which is good!
Aircon and shower pressure works very well
No clogging in shower/bathroom
Very little shops to walk around (to do shopping if you are into shopping)
In Room One which I stayed in, there is no 100% privacy though the blinds are lowered - they are still "gaps" which you can still see outside from your room or people from the outside can see you!
Hotel does not provide coffee/tea though they put a kettle in the room (not sure what is that for in this case). They called themselves a Luxury Hotel but I think no one would agree a Luxury Hotel lacks of this "basic" amentiies. I communicated with hotel staff about this prior to my arrival and they said will bring up to operational/management team - not confident they will do so
Cryotherapy was not in working conditon during my stay, hence did not get to try which is sad...(was looking forward to it)

Great sunset view, friendly staff, amazing facilities.

Amazing location right beside the sea, a great place to doze off to the sound of the waves. The staff were lovely and the rooms were good and provided everything you could need.
Only thing I’d say is to put some non vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. We didn’t eat anything here and while we didn’t actually know it was a “yoga retreat hotel” it’s a bit bold to assume every person who practices yoga is vegan/vegetarian and I’m sure there would be some people who would appreciate some meat options to choose from.

Exceptional facilities, helpful and friendly staff, a place of peace and tranquility
No bedside light available for reading in the double bedroom

Lovely room
Peaceful and amazing view
Facilities good
Check-in was very disorganised after a long journey there
Didn’t realise there would be so many people coming and going to use the facilities

Super comfortable even in the dorm, was only there 2 nights but it was great. The spa is great, the view from the main outside area is outstanding and the restaurant is great too.
The chlorine from the spa ruined my swimsuit. When I asked staff to change the water glasses in the room as I couldn’t remember whose was which they seemed annoyed and then proceeded to rinse them in the sink (didn’t use dish soap…). I also asked to keep a kombucha aside for me the morning I had to leave and the staff didn’t bring it to me (didn’t have time to chase them as I was already late for my flight)

Location vibe and facilities awesome
No reception and staff communication was very poor. Giving incorrect times for yoga on Sunday and generally average for this pricing. Lots of visitors not guests had the security being rather rude to begin. Not personal service for such a small resort. Though the place itself was spectacular. Attention to staff training is required.

The location and amenities are out of this world
Would've been better off trying to get some sleep in a party hostel. This low quality accommodation with horrible view and dark lit room is next to a wedding venue, absolutely screaming music through our room until late hours of the night. No pre warning of this chaos, will never stay again.

The breakfast was outstanding - the protein waffles were a winner.
The accommodation was super comfy and very clean. The grounds itself was very clean. The extra activities (e.g. yoga and breathwork) had amazing instructors. The Istana was better than I could have imagined.
The sensory deprivation tank - the water looked very dirty and it had a certain smell that was off putting. Also, I know it was in a tank but it could be more appealing. It is only minor though, the other therapies and facilities were immaculate.

It was very comfortable, clean and tranquil. View was amazing and juices, smoothies and food was delicious. It was a short taxi ride to restaurants and shops. Suluban beach is a short walk.
Complementary treatments included in our booking was not available during our stay as they was cleaning the machines.

I loved everything about the stay! The hotel is just amazing and offers spa services and all the activities (yoga, meditations) complimentary for in-house guests. One of the best sunsets I’ve seen in Uluwatu! Lovely people around , great atmosphere!!

Everything! From the incredible ocean view, the top of the line biohacking facilities, to great yoga classes & wonderfully accommodating staffs, it’s my favorite place in the world ❤️
It’s only in Uluwatu 😭

Overall we had a magical experience at the Kayon. Initially we were a bit disappointed with the noise from the construction from the neighbouring development. We mentioned this to the staff and they gave us a complimentary massages and free transit to visit the sister hotel Kayon Jungle for the day. The service was amazing and one of the best hotels visits we have ever had. Highly recommend. We relaxed and had a great time. Thank you for looking after us.
Construction work in neighbouring site.

Comfortable queen/ king beds. I was waking up every day to courtesy green juice, ocean view, access to sauna, icebath, yoga and other biohacking facilities, all inclusive so was so worth it for the price.
Great Vegan food, very nourishing and cleansing. However, The menu could have had more option but there were many restaurants to explore near by.

That’s really amazing! It’s beautiful and peaceful, but...
The only thing I would say is that, right now, I’m not sure Istana is the best option for booking a room. There are always a lot of people coming in from outside, and the price is quite high-end. It’s not my first time here, but I honestly think it makes more sense to stay somewhere else and just come for the yoga, spa sessions or events.

Ahhh gosh — I loved the no phone and no technology policy! I really think more hotels should adopt this. It created such a peaceful and present atmosphere — we even connected with other guests, which rarely happens these days, simply because no one was on their phones.
The location on the cliff was absolutely breathtaking — the views, the fresh air, and the sense of space were incredible. The yoga sessions were beautifully run and a highlight of the stay. The sauna, spa facilities, and overall calming vibe made it feel like a complete reset for the mind and body.
And the fire pit in the evenings — magical. Sitting under the stars, chatting with fellow guests — it was the perfect end to each day. Truly a special place. I’ll be back!
The room we had was quite simple — not the most luxurious, but perfectly fine since we spent most of our time outdoors. Just something to note if you’re expecting high-end finishes. Similarly, while the staff were all lovely and friendly, the service felt more relaxed than polished — not quite at a five-star level.
I also found it a bit surprising that the morning yoga classes weren’t included in the stay. For a place so centered around wellness, it feels like that should be part of the overall offering. Lastly, it would have been nice if staff or security gently reminded guests to put laptops away — the no-tech policy is such a unique part of the experience and really worth preserving as you don’t get that and WE LOVED IT. Being forced off your phone or computer is what we all need more of.

The facilities were nice, their spa, and pool was nice and the view especially during sunset was beautiful
The cleanliness of the hotel was so bad, almost everything was rusty, the trash can, the kettle the bath tub everything was either covered with limestone or rust, there was nothing in the room, i understand the policy about no alcohol but there wasn’t even a kettle or glasses or tea cups to use in the room. The phone was out of service the moment i arrived and had to walk to reception every time to talk to them. I asked for so many things to be fixed in just 4 days it was ridiculous and the cleaning staff do a half ass job every time they clean the rooms

Best views in Bali and awesome spa and overall wellness experience!
It feels like everyone knows each other, we felt a bit like outsiders

not much, was pretty cool.

It’s a brilliant location and assuming with a great spa - tons of people come to visit this
Do not stay here! It’s just not a hotel, it’s more of a SPA and a site seeing location. It’s great if you visit just for the spa, but quite disturbing and disappointing if you book a room here - you won’t have privacy at all and will have to stay with your windows closed all the time.

it was a beautiful property, with great facilities
for the most part the staff were wonderful, however they failed to mention the free spa treatments we should have received and when letting the front desk know, they basically suggested we were told and didn’t know what we were talking about.

Amazing spa facilities and the bio hacking treatments were excellent
Room was quite basic for the price and the bathroom wasn’t very clean when I arrived
Staff didn’t seem to have much of an idea about things in the local area

The location is stunning - right on the cliff, the view is amazing. Facilities are OK, three different saunas and some HBOT and CRYO is nice if you want to do some physical recovery during the stay.
The place gets super busy during the and toward the evening because they accept drop in visitor for a minimal fee to use the facilities, so peace and relaxation can only be enjoyed early in the morning, rest of the day you are best off escaping from there. Multiple times I could not even use the sauna because all three of them were fully packed with people queuing outside. It's not really fair for people booking rooms at almost 400USD per night that come for the promise to "unwind" and "optimize in paradise".

LOVE the place, views, room, and all the spa facilities.
The place has a very deep community vibe, everybody knows everybody but as outsiders it feels a bit intimidating.

nice pool area and rooms
there were events on every night we were staying there and the hotel was packed. i felt like I couldn’t even use the pool or spa area that we paid top dollar for. we may just be uneducated on the area and didn’t realise this was going to be a problem at this resort.

location and staff were lovely
so many people that you don’t get the
opportunity to enjoy the facilities properly.
