Quiet retreat in a fairy land!

We love the location and generous spaces we have and the well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer for laundry.

Wi-if worked perfect, very good location, super clean and all devises worked well. The view is amazing.

Overall a decent stay. Nice location but probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Property is very well located. Close to interlaken and grindelwald. Easy transportation by bus or train. The apartment had a lot of movies and books and the children enjoyed that. Great views of the mountains and waterfall.

I thought it was expensive. I think perhaps the price is high because of the views. My biggest complaint is the recycling. I do not think guests should have to walk recycled items to different stores in the town. The owner should be doing this for the guest. Glass had to be taken somewhere separate from PET bottles. Trash bags had to be purchased by the guests.

It is a hidden gem. You won’t know til you get in the apartment how close you are to the waterfall. Great view from the living room patio! Great kitchen with everything I needed. Check before you go to the coop because there are several jars or spices and salt and pepper. There were coffee filters there from prior visitors. Beds were comfy. The manager/owner never kept us waiting when we contacted him. Enough books music and cds for a lifetime. Washer and dryer on the premises looked good but we didn’t use it.

The shower in the one bedroom makes a huge mess. Water gets everywhere. I think a weighted shower curtain might help there. Power strips by the bedsides would make it possible to have a light and to charge your phones The light in the living room is tricky. Not sure what to do about that.

I don’t recommend - staying here will spoil your holiday.

The view the water fall only

Very strange owner. 1- he texting you via whatsapp all times! 2- takes a deposit of 300 CHF with no intention to pay it back! He told me drop the key in the box once you leave! 3- no way for you to know if the towels, covers are really clean because they are not standard white. Booking policy says that the deposit is to be used for damages but the owner want to use for cleaning! He should be very clear with his gusts that such amount will be deduced for clearing as many other hotels do.

Gorgeous views from a perfectly located apartment in Lauterbrunnen.

Excellent location. The views from the balcony were phenomenal. Clean and comfortable apartment. The host was beyond helpful, very accommodating to our late arrival when we ran into several road construction delays, and the laundry on-site was a nice bonus.

Towels and linens were a little sparse. Earplugs, or a note from the host to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, would be a nice touch because there are bells very nearby that ring all night long, every hour, on the hour.

Perfect location for a stay in Lauterbrunnen!

The property was in a perfect location with a wonderful view of the waterfall! Quiet and peaceful... it was a lovely spot! It is very near the train as well so you can easily walk everywhere - to catch the train, or hike or stroll through town. And the hostess was so kind and responsive and helpful! She answered every question we had, was always available and even supported our need to change our dates. Such a kind and caring person. We would come and stay again in a heartbeat!

Bad

only the location of the apartment in lauterbrunnen is good and the entire stay was completely ruined by the host, please avoid staying here. I really wish booking would take heed and get our money returned and look at all the people who had a bad experience with the host and take action against him (the least being banning him from the platform) We rely on booking and dont expect being cheated by crooks!

The host is not returning our deposit of 300 CHF and had the audacity to ask for more money from us. Claiming he incurred additional costs for a dirty place (we left it in standard conditions where cleaning fees is included) and stupid stuff like we removed a bulb of his (we kept it safely in his apartment) which was hanging with duct tape and was dangerous for kids. We handed the keys to his relative cum cleaner and he said his garage was open and someone could have stolen something so we need to transfer more money to him(we had left the garage closed). He claimed we did not mention we had kids (we were 3 couples with kids aged 1,2 and 3) and due to booking not having option for kids we did not put in the kids in booking but it is none of his business as we are ready to pay any tax needed and did not need extra beds. And he said stuff like your kid is above 6 and you did not inform me. Please please stay away from here. Additionally; 1. The host was very weird and creepy messaging on whatsapp all the time without any reason. He even called me at 8 am in the morning during my stay for no reason and asked personal questions like where I am from, my age and if my parents live with me !! 2. The supplies inside the apartment were not enough for 6 adults for 4 nights. I had to buy toilet paper and garbage bags myself from the local store after asking the host if there were more to which he replied to buy from the store. 3. The apartment was full of his personal things. The apartment is also very small for 6 adults, with one room having a very small double bed and another room with 2 small single beds. 4. The apartment was in general dirty and was smelly. We had this feeling immediately but did not want to spoil our holidays in a big group so we lived with this and just thought of leaving a bad review after the holidays and moving on.

This manager was the most unpleasant I have ever have had to work with.

The location and views were excellent.

Our whole experience with the owner was very unpleasant. Prior to arriving, we received texts about the bank transfer for the damage deposit that was required. We were traveling through Europe and no bank would transfer money to the owner. I offered my credit card for the security deposit- which he refused. I asked about Venmo or PayPal, both of which he didn’t have. We tried again in Rome & Venice and notified the owner. He said to try at the Zurich airport. At the airport, there were no banks that would transfer the money. On arrival, we found only 2 of the 3 bedrooms set up. The 3rd bedroom had no sheets or towels. We looked in the cabinets for extras but there was no extra linen anywhere. We texted the owner who yelled at us that he had set the rooms up per our instructions. I explained that we obviously had a misunderstanding and I needed all of the bedrooms to have linen. At this point he became very angry, yelling at me that there were only 4 of us. I explained that I was traveling with my 2 ADULT sons, and they didn’t fit in a double bed. I asked where the extra linen and towels were and I would set up the rooms. His response was, “There are only 4 of you, one towel for each.” Realizing the owner would not provide any more linen I asked where the washer was so I could wash towels as needed. At this, the owner became very angry and hostile and shouted at me, “Why was I bringing my dirty laundry from another place?” It was obvious at this point we would not be using all of the bedrooms and would not be allowed to use the washer that was advertised. The next morning we canceled a tour so we could go to the bank in Lauterbrunnen suggested by the owner, to attempt to get the bank transfer. The teller informed us that without an account this couldn’t be done. At this point, we decided to leave and go somewhere else where we could use all of the facilities advertised and be treated with respect and dignity.

Great Stay

Is a nice property with an amazing view of the waterfall, great location near to the restaurants, supermarket and train station. The place is big enough, big lounge, big TV, great selection of DVD’s, nice balcony with nice views of the waterfall. Would definitely recommend this place. The owner was very helpful with giving us tourist advice and places to visit. We would definitely recommend going up Schilthorn mountain by cable cars, where they filmed 007 ‘On Her Majesty's Secret Service’. It costs around £100 each but is definitely worth it.

Superb

The location was perfect: easy to reach, absolute stunning view and not directly in the centre so not much traffic. The hosts were super warm and welcoming, we had everything we needed and got discount for certain services.

There isn't anything we didn't like but maybe some warmer lightbulbs for the livingroom and bathroom? We didn't spend much time there but is still nice in the evening to relax in your temporary home within cosy lights. Everything else was perfect.
