A quiet restful base for attending a family party nearby and walking into Hereford town centre

Car parking residents pass available, making arrival and stay hassle-free with no extra parking charges. Heating control very neat and intuitive, heating very quiet and efficient. Decoration very pleasant and smart, well furnished

The top of the stairs is rather awkward and could be difficult for some people. However, this is common in buildings of that period, and part of its charm - or quirkiness.

The best stay

Lia is an incredibly accommodating and friendly host and Clifton House is super comfortable, clean with nice spacious rooms and garden. It has everything we needed and more - wish we could’ve stayed for longer as it was a brief visit for a wedding in Hereford. Also the location is a walkable distance to the centre of town - fab!

A great place to stay, and I’d happily return next time I’m in Hereford!

I recently stayed at this lovely house in Hereford and had a great experience. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. It had everything I needed, and the layout made it feel very open and welcoming. The owner was especially kind and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed and checking in to see if there was anything they could do to improve my stay. Their hospitality really made a difference. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and I’d happily return next time I’m in Hereford!

Lovely house, beautifully clean and comfortable. Great location. Easy to walk to the cathedral and the pub! Good communication with the host, Lia, and everything was as she stated, including the parking permits, so we could park outside

A restful, homely stay in a quiet and quaint area within Hereford city.

The house was very quiet, had an atmosphere of calm and comfort..and was a few doors away from a nice local pub! The furnishings were particularly attractive- a mixture of period style and more modern, all in restful, warm colours. There was an eclectic mixture of lovely prints on the walls. The garden was a beautiful bonus. A local corner shop nearby, several buzzing coffee shops within 10 mins walk. Home from home.

Nice house on a quiet road. Clean and with everything you need. Great bathroom. Easy to walk to town, plus great pub, shop, other amenities etc nearby. Communication with the host was good. No complaints.

Fabulous stay,

The property was beautiful and the garden: The house was clean and tidy! Plenty of room in the house! the host was lovely and very helpful! Nothing was too much trouble. Always on hand to help with anything. Property was Easy to find. Lovely surroundings close by. Lovely dog walks. The pub on the street does lovely food and was dog friendly! People were very friendly! Hereford centre was a short walk, we had a great time and would return in the future.

The stairs I found very steep, but it was sign posted so you was aware, We would have liked a tv in the bedroom. Personal preference as we struggle to sleep without a tv, there was no tv in the bedroom.

Just perfect. Lia the host is so helpful and friendly and very reactive to emails.

This accommodation was just perfect for us. The host Lia is super reactive to emails and nothing is too much trouble. The house is beautifully clean and has everything that you could possible need.

Wonderful stay in Hereford in this lovely property

Lovely period property in quiet neighbourhood within 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Property had everything we needed. Exceptionally clean. Bed very comfortable. Lia the host was friendly, great with communication and very accommodating. Great value for money! Would stay again.

Electric shower disappointing. Very low pressure. Difficult to regulate the temperature. Otherwise would have scored a 10!

Gorgeous, spacious and comfortable house in a central, yet quiet location,

loved the house and loved the location - exceptionally central (10 min walk to centre) while being quiet and secure. Gorgeous house with a very long garden - table and chairs outside to enjoy the sun. Host had thought of everything - even little touches like landing lights coming on automatically when sensing movement in the night - helped light the way to the bathroom. Lots of space and both bedrooms were double beds and very comfortable and beautifully appointed. Pin number was sent to access keys from key lock and host provided a parking permit too. Highly recommend.

Warm comfortable and very clean house.

The property is immaculate and smells really lovely. It was comfortable and warm . It is very minimalist in the bedroom but it has everything one would need. Only one pillow per person which sort of surprised me Kitchen well equipped but did not find the frying pan, did not look well enough as there was one in the bottom of the cooker. Our fault! There are some areas that are a bit below par but know that repair is being done when possible, nothing that detracts from ones stay. Very handy for the city. Long back garden but a bit too wet for us to enjoy!!! Would stay there again.

A couple of little things ie no towel in downstairs toilet, small omission that was simply overlooked. Had a great text response from the owner who apologised for the lack of a towel there and in the kitchen. The kitchen could do with a washing up bowl, tiny omission but owner very amenable to getting one. All small things that really are not that important in the big picture of things.

Great home and location. Extremely comfi bed and very quiet neighbourhood. Lovely and clean with good communication from Lia - who is kindly returning a necklace that had dropped on the bedroom floor.
