Such a wonderful place to stay. Lia, our host, was very helpful in sorting out parking permits and keeping in touch about arrival times. Clifton house is extremely comfortable - loved the shower - and having a garden we could sit in for breakfast was ideal. It's in a quiet neighbourhood, with an attractive and easy walk to the cathedral and old town.

It was unbelievably cool in the heatwave! It’s, a little home away from home…our second stay here & the dog loves it also! It’s close to Castle green & town; close to the river & fields & most importantly close to CSons, the best coffee for miles.

Location was great. It was light and airy. Generally clean. Lots of room. Lovely garden.
Oven and its contents needed cleaning. Basics were there. No personal touches to make us feel someone was personally welcoming us. But maybe many people like anonymity so that might just be me.

The location was excellent, a 15-minute walk to the cathedral and five minutes further into the centre. Well-equipped , large bathroom, plus a loo downstairs. Large, well-equipped kitchen. Good wifi. There was a large fan, essential in view of the heatwave.
Some of the window blinds were missing their control rods, making light/sun control difficult (but not impossible). Sofas were a little low. TV was very slow to load the EPG and to react to changes.
