The house was spotless and the location was great. The kitchen was very well equipped. There are three good pubs nearby and the check-in procedure was very easy.
There was not a general store nearby - as such it would have been useful to have a pint of milk in the fridge.

The location was excellent. The courtyard was lovely. It was very secure. It had everything we needed.
Some areas were very dusty and dirty. The bed in the main room was propped up with books. There was no free view TV.

It was convenient for a 1 night stop over. Once we had overrided the heating settings, it was cosy.
They were very strict on checkin time, they refused a checkin request after 10pm, however checkin just involved letting ourselves into the house with a key from a lock box, so in fact we could have checked in just as easily nearer to midnight which is what we wanted. We could have avoided a detour just to pick up the keys. We fully understand the concerns around neighbours being annoyed with noise, but we were no quieter or noisier when we did get in around midnight.
I was slightly concerned that the boiler and pipework was fully exposed in my son's bedroom. He's old enough to understand and not touch, but might have been different if much younger. The boiler was noisy though for him during the night. The house wasn't as clean as it could have been. Overall I wouldn't have wanted to stay here for more than a couple of nights.
