We have stayed here before and to be honest we could not fault it on that occasion. But sadly this time it was a very different story. Upon arrival we checked the house for any damage and found a broken bowl on the coffee table in the lounge, there was also some cleaning products left out and the house seemed very untidy. None of this is good when you have two young children in tow. The hot water tap on the bath was not workin and there was no cover on the shower drainage. The attic room smelt very damp and there were no curtains in the two main bedrooms thus allowing too much light in. The TV and the remote was not working in the main bedroom. Some of the doors were also damaged. On top of that not long after we arrived the owner of the house turned up and although our car was outside she let herslf into the house with her key. She said that she did not realise that there was anyone there and then proceded to ask us to move our car so that she could park in the driveway. We refused to do this as it would have made it difficult to get in and out of our car with our two children and with her car there we would have had to pull out onto the road in order to do so. She then complained about having to go and park her car in the car park nearby. This outcome is very sad because we have got a large family in the area and often visit. Based on our first stay we would have probably used the accommodation at least five times a year but now feel that we need to look elsewhere.
