123 Nunnery Lane

My Wife and I have just spent 3 Fantastic nights at 123 Nunnery Lane and it was practically perfect. The Apartment is perfectly located on Nunnery Lane which is a 10 minute walk from York Station and on the corner Bishopgate Road which is my favourite High Streets because of the Restaurants, the Bakers and the variety of other shops to cater your every need. The Apartment itself was warm, clean and tidy with a kitchen stocked with essentials and and crockery, a super soft and comfortable bed, smart TV, digital radios and decent WiFi. The lounge and dining area were very comfortable. It felt like Home as soon as we arrived.

The was an issue with the draining of water in the bathroom sink ….so frustrating slow. There was a window blind missing from the Dining Area which left us a little exposed as well as having the zebra crossing light flashed in the room all evening. If you’re a light sleeper then there’s a generator in the building that rumbles through the night for about 5 minutes every half an hour. And finally, you’d feel safer if you could lock the front door from the inside - just for peace of mind. These were little things that were noticeable but did not ruin our stay

Great location; terrific neighborhood with independent shops and pubs. And grocery stores at the end of the block. The apartment is good sized with a separate sitting room. The bed was comfy with quality bedding. Even with the blinking crossing light outside the bedroom window and some street noise, we slept great. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking. The bathroom was large with a shelf for toiletries. While it was a really good stay and we would return if they do some heavy-duty cleaning.

The apartment has seen better days. On the surface, the apartment was clean but it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned through the years. The carpets were stained, some shower grout was black and mildewy, the kitchen floor was dirty (by evidence of my socks.) The bathroom sink drained slowly. You get the idea. Staff kindly offered housekeeping return to but this apartment needed much more so we declined. Sad to see because this lovely apartment should have been maintained!!

The apartment was perfect for two people. It was well appointed and brilliantly equipped. The absolute best thing was its position- so central and close to all York ‘s major attractions. We loved being able to walk to everything from there.

Everything! Only a 10 minute walk from the station and a short walk into the centre of York. Great location with plenty of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. Quiet location. Pub across the road but I didn't find it noisy but I was there during the week. Clean apartment, very well equipped. Big fluffy towels which are always a bonus for me. Lots of useful info the apartment.
