Fabulous.

Beautiful, unique accommodation. Equipped with everything you need for self catering. Beds were really comfortable too. Just a minute's walk into the village which has pubs, shops, a lovely cafe and even a park to walk the dog. Would definitely come back.

I would just suggest a couple of board games to make it perfect.

The wet room was very spacious for anyone using a walker or wheelchair but it needs grab rails in the shower and next to the toilet for the disabled and elderly … my Mother couldn’t use the shower as nothing to hold on to …

The Old School was huge, spacious, clean and comfortable in a great location for exploring the area with parking right outside our door. A smashing holiday. Worth every penny just for the Wow! factor as we walked in. I can't praise this house enough.

Gortin village was very quiet and peaceful and the nearby park areas good for walking and relaxing The house was well equipped with utensils and certainly had the potential to provide a real home from home Two very large bathrooms a big plus and one being designed for those with mobility issues is excellent

Due to its age there can be a smell of damp when the rooms haven’t been ventilated for a while - I should have thought the high windows might have been opened a bit before we arrived I think the outside area could do with a good clearing- weeds moss etc as it really doesn’t give a great first impression. Once you are inside and see all the space it’s better. The outside furniture is old and rusty but a lick of paint could do wonders for it. We had folding chairs with us so could use them to sit at the front of the building facing the lovely old church I was very tempted to weed what should have been a lovely border of flowers but they were overgrown with thistles. In Ireland we are used to hospitality for visitors would it have been too much to ask for a pint of milk and a fresh scone in arrival if folks travelled a long way to get there.

Beautifully restored School House. Fully equipped. A fabulous place to relax and unwind. Set at the top of the Main Street of Gortin Village.
