Great location to go around the lakes, heating system keeps the house very warm, good size double bedrooms, overall very cozy environment. Jayne is very friendly and accomoded our needs. Walking distance to Melbreak restaurant and few other pubs near by driving. Definitely a place to return to.
In my view some kitchen ustensile might improve the quality of cooking if replaced.

The Barn is a very comfortable, clean and cosy space with modern appliances and showers. Everything was very clean and the shower and bathroom worked really well. The beds were large and comfy, and the carpet was very soft. The space is perfect for four people in a beautiful natural setting with easy access to the Lake District. Whilst this is further west, we enjoyed the easy access to the coast and the longer very scenic drives into the heart of the Lake District where we could frequently stop. The hosts are very welcoming and helped us with the few questions we had.
These are very minuscule details, but it would be great to have a curtain or screen on the front double doors for some added privacy when in the kitchen. We cooked our dinners during our stay, and it would have been nice to have a larger pot/saucepan. Otherwise the kitchen is very well equipped and we had everything else we needed. These are very small details and overall we had a lovely stay.

Very central to get to Keswick , Cockermouth, Whitehaven!
Hosts were amazing!
The Barn was spotless!! It had everything you needed and more! The host left wine, milk and cookies! They even left some Easter goodies for the children!
We would certainly book here again!!
