Easy access off the A66, lovely location for the north lakes area. The accommodation was lovely.

Joice of items were plentiful and varied, the full English breakfast was very nice, hot and presented lovely.

Taxi availability in the area, but that is nothing to do with the hotel, the staff were very helpful trying to arrange a taxi for us.

The service at this hotel is off the charts, it's like going back in time to when people actually cared about others. From reception to bar to restaurant all the staff are excellent. The facilities themselves are extremely well appointed, particularly for the money. Food also great

Ideally located for North-Western Lakes.

Perfectly located for our trip to visit family. Our room was beautiful as was the bar area. Didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast as it was more suited for us to go into Workington.

Receptionist who booked us in was outstanding. She carried the suitcase for my husband who is disabled Suite was amazing. Food is exceptional. All staff are really friendly and welcoming.

I booked several weeks prior to our stay. Then had to make a cancellation. A few days later had to rebook only to find the price had been reduced by £50 + breakfast. A little disappointed ☹️

Our room was perfect in size, cleanliness, comfort. It was great to go back to the hotel after an active day to enjoy the comfort and quietness of the hotel. The restaurant was great too! I am coeliac and the restaurant could cater for me with plenty of options gluten free (not only the usual salad). The garden and bar with lounge were a nice plus. Location is strategic - could travel to the most iconic Lakes locations in less than 1h time, with the closest lake being only 15 mins away. Lovely stay.

The area was very close to a lot of attractions for walking and near town centre as well. Hotel staff were amazing they decorated our room beforehand for my husbands’ birthday i’m very grateful.

I raised an issue, with the customer service team, prior to giving this review, to allow them a chance to investigate and reply. I had an email back promising that they would look into it, with the usual customer service platitudes. They haven’t bothered to reply. I usually prefer to use local firms, rather than corporates that don’t really care, however it seems that this Hotel it’s just like the rest of them.

Clean and comfy

The room was very clean and the decor was great, The bed was very comfy and there was plenty of storage, good coffee making facilities and biscuits which where replaced each day.

The soap dispensers either didn't work properly or we couldn't work out how to use them, we only managed to get a tiny drop out of them, that was the only fault there was

Wonderful stay in in an area accessible to all the lakes have to offer!

Room was spacious, bed big, full bath, large well placed television. Black out curtains. Staff jolly & very accommodating. No complaints at all & would stay again. Bonus of fantastic bar & restaurant, providing mouth watering menu. We had snacks & Sunday lunch both lovely. We had our 8 week old grandson 1 night in our room and request was granted without issue - thank you.

Personally I’d have liked air conditioning however there was a fan in the room, plus we always travel with our own.

Excellent. We really enjoyed our stay with the wonderful views.

The location is amazing. Within easy reach of the Lakes and many places of interest including National Trust properties. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had and served by a delightful lady who could not do enough for us. Our room was beautifully decorated with everything we needed. We will certainly be back again.

Our eveining dinner was somewhat disappointing. My wife had the fish and chips with mushy peas and she said it was not very good. I had the cod which was very nicely cooked but there were too many potatoes and not enough asparagus. Some improvements to the dinner fare would be well worthwhile.
