Le Dupleix

Everything …except mosquitoes sometimes show up !

Everything!

The water pressure, the toilets didn’t flush properly - not the quality I expect when you’re paying so much

The hotel is in a great location in White Town, with cafes, restaurants, the beach, the park all within easy walking distance. The rooms are very large and mine had a four poster bed. It is a pretty building with a pretty central courtyard.

The rooms are a little tired, with the bathroom fixtures delivering little water pressure and several tiles having been replaced but not like-for-like. The curtains are a little bit overwhelming in the rooms. They are quite thick, floor to ceiling, and bright blue, which jars a little with the natural wooden furniture and floors of the rooms. Blinds might be a more aesthetic option? The breakfast was disappointing - it's probably the most minimal breakfast buffet I have experienced in India. Some of the buffet was laid out in the courtyard and the crows were helping themselves!

Excellent location, heritage property so has the old colonial look

Poor communication with hotel guests. Didn’t check when we are coming as our flight was to arrive a bit late Did not communicate clearly regarding the upgrade which we were given Did not communicate that morning buffet breakfast was cancelled Had to repeatedly request simple things as extra towels or shower gel Poor supervision of junior reception staff
