Location was good and easily accessible. Breakfast was okay and am of the opinion that slices of bread be kept in bread cases near the toater instead of patrons having to ask for it and the bread being served 2 piece per person which kept some people asking for more (bread is a lot cheaper than that embarassing scenerio)

The bed was my put off, it was lumpy and not well made. And the bedsheet had some stains. Also the housekeeper was a little rude in her approach to the patrons.

The toilet you had to flush 4 times for it to take the toilet paper down, and they had put 2 single beds together, so you had the ridge of the beds which were wooden stick in your back or side all night and the duvet was so thin it did not keep you warm

The Grosvenor, great location and great value for money!

I was very please with the late check-in as I had travelled some hours to get to Clacton. The hotel was easy to find and I received a warm welcome from the member of staff on duty. They were aware that my brother was arriving the day after and had allocated him a room near mine. My room had a high ceiling which gave it an airy quality and the double bed was a little hard but I soon got used to it. Breakfast was at a reasonable time and very good too! All in all I would recommend The Grosvenor to any traveller staying in Clacton. It has a great location away from the noise of the town centre and a short walk from the train station.

First room the toilet didn’t work, the staff found an alternative room but unfortunately not of the same configuration but we appreciated the room change. The duvet in the second room was a bit thin, we requested an additional duvet as the room was a little chilly, the duvet was delivered without any fuss

Staff were great, hotel is a little out dated, but definitely value for money.

A nice hotel albeit it being a little aged. The lady that checked us in went above and beyond, and got chocolate spread for my daughter when she asked for some for breakfast….even though they did not have any.

The water in the sink in the bathroom didn’t get warm, there was no heating in the bathroom either. The use of air freshener was a little over powering too.

One day stay for work

I stayed at the Grosvenor last night. The room was very clean and comfortable. For the money I and considering it included breakfast I would give it a 10 out of 10. The staff were extremely friendly and were always asking if there was anything else needed. I would stay here again without a doubt! Thanks very much to the staff reception and kitchen!

The Breakfast was superb and the breakfast staff were excellent. My Son who has SEN was well catered for. Smooth check in. Was able to leave our Car in the Car Park before check in time which was a bonus. Beds were super comfortable. Loved that a Hair Dryer was provided and that Water was provided in the Room as my Son has Polydipsia so has to drink lots of Water

Found a couple of Spiders, but the ceilings were so high they were hard to get to. No hangers in our Room so we had to pinch the three from our friends Room. His Sink didn't work properly in his Room. Quite noisy in the late evening with Cars racing up and down the Street, but that wasn't the Hotel's fault

Brilliant location, free parking with a very warm welcome . Room was fit for purpose, nice and clean and comfortable with a kettle, choice of tea and coffee as well as water. Complimentary shower gel and body lotion 👍 Breakfast was amazing and the cook was very friendly and accommodating. Unbelievable how this level of hospitality and service is given for this price. Keep up the good work
