Lovely clean room, great maid service, very helpful and friendly staff overall, very nice, helpful and friendly night porter/manager. The hotel could badly do with a lift though, as there’s no lift for the disabled/elderly which is really bad, despite the hotel only having two stories. I had problems getting up and down the stairs to the first floor where our family room was, as I was born with a dislocated right hip (congenital dysplasia of the hip), and I have a major problem with my spine, in which I’m awaiting major spinal surgery for, so I really struggled with the stairs. On a more positive note though the hotel does have a fire exit, (a side metal staircase attached to the left of the hotel leading to the hotel car park).
The restaurant is nice and clean with friendly staff, but it’s not a fully self service breakfast buffet. You can do your own toast/cereal/juices/tea/coffee, etc, but whatever type of breakfast you choose, (either full English or Continental breakfast), you order what you want from the menu and the waitress takes your order and brings your food to your table. We only had breakfast one of the mornings, (we had a 3 night stay), because the full English breakfast was really horrible, the meat sausages were hard and tasteless, the hash browns were burnt and tasted burnt, the meat bacon wasn’t cooked properly and tasted raw, (I think that it was just very briefly cooked in the microwave), and the baked beans tasted cheap and nasty. And they had no black pudding left, (to my boyfriend’s annoyance). Even my vegetarian sausages were vile and tasteless, they weren’t cooked properly. The sunny side up eggs were nice though, (there were no scrambled eggs on the menu though). I rate this hotel and restaurant combined 7/10.

Booked a non-refundable room for three nights through Agoda. When i arrived the hotel had no record of my booking so I lost all that money and had to find and pay for another hotel as they were fully booked.
