Great views and breakfast

The views from the room were great.Breakfast was great

Why is there one switch that controls all the lamps and outlets?We tried the other ones and ended up having to just unplug all the lamps to charge our phones. I have stayed at castle properties before and was a little underwhelmed with the decor!

Lovely views and good service.

The view from our balcony was beautiful and the breakfast each morning was excellent. We also enjoyed our meal in the tavern. While we didn't use the pool and steam room - they did look good.

Given the price to stay here, the bathrooms were functional but small, especially the shower. The hotel is in a prime location at the top of the hill and the views are lovely but as international travellers without a car it can be a bit of a challenge walking up and down the steep hill. There was a bus but the staff did not seem to know much about public transport options when we asked.

Castle hotel on the Rhine

This is a castle hotel overlooking the Rhine. Beautiful location. The very large double room had two very large picture windows giving us unobstructed views of the Rhine. Restaurant was excellent.

Hotel in the Sky

Astounding views high above the Rhine River. Lovely grounds, convenient parking. Food in the restaurant was excellent and staff was attentive. Furnishings were comfortable but being a very old building there was a lack of convenient electrical outlets at least in mine.

Only one available electrical outlet in my room, and not convenient to either the bathroom or near the bed.

Indulgent stay

Healthy options, such as fruits, salmon, vegetables. Indulgent pastries, fantastic panoramic view from the restaurant, fresh coffee and daily news.

I was only allowed to sit by the window once from my 3 days stay. Some groups, who already finished their breakfast, didn't leave to free up tables.

Excellent location and facilities with superb views over the river

We asked for a river view and the view we got was splendid. The breakfast was fine but lacked the usual cooked items other than scrambled egg.

A dedicated twin room would have been slightly better. As it was it was obvious that the room normally had the two single beds pushed together to make an "Austrian double", but that was a very minor issue

It’s a well maintained beautiful hotel. It’s so quiet you can only hear the birds. Staff were helpful, food was great. We would love to visit and stay here again.

Amazing view, excellend facilities and friendly staff

Very beautiful location, great facilities and friendly staff. We travelled by bike and they offered us a locked garage to store the bikes overnight which is a great plus. The swimming pool was great and the view from the terrace and the restaurant is stunning.

Great location right next to the castle. Nice indoor swimming pool. The restaurant was good and had beautiful views.

Room (in the other building) was a bit dated but clean and nice.

Fantastic location and great food, bedroom not so special but very clean.

Location was stunning overlooking the Rhine and next to the castle, which is worth the admission price for a visit. An evening meal and breakfast were superb.

The bedroom was fine but relatively ordinary compared to the restaurant and rest of the hotel. The one issue we had was it was a hot and uncomfortable night’s sleep because a plastic underlay was used on the mattress. We did comment on this at reception but was told this was necessary for hygiene. It hasn’t been the case in other hotels we’ve stayed in.

Overall an excellent stay but bathroom needs to be updated.

View from room is fantastic. Staff very friendly and professional. Superb breakfast. Excellent dinner with fine wine. Comfortable bed and room refreshed daily.

Shower over bath not good these days. Should have separate walk-in shower in a room costing as much as this. Climbing into the bath for someone with a spine problem is not good. Bath was slippery and no anti-slip mat provided.

Marvelous hotel for a splurge on yourself, even when your solo.

The location is superb because it’s very convenient by all modes of transporting and you need a car to enjoy the area. Breakfast is exceptional with a multitude of choices. Staff is 5-star from storing my luggage after I checked out to coordinating laundry on short notice, and sending my luggage by taxi to the train station. True examples of the best in customer service.

The villas have thin walls and it can be noisy. I think the guests above me were a small herd of ponies!

This hotel had the most fantastic view of the river and town below.

The hotel is very beautiful. We were in the new addition with a balcony and a wonderful view of the river. We did not use the spa area or the pool but I did take a look at the area and it was very nice. We saw lots of other guests using the area. Food in the restaurant was exceptional. The view from the restaurant windows was amazing. Food is the Bistro Cafe was also very good. We arrived just 5 minutes before the kitchen closed, but they were very nice.

While the main restaurant was open later, the kitchen at the Bistro Cafe closed at 6 pm. We arrived at 5:55 and it was no problem getting our food. Parking was tight but adequate
