The gasthaus was a nice place to stay for a short visit in the Oberwesel area.

We enjoyed the local german options for breakfast and also enjoyed dinner one night during our stay at the property.

The towels were old and a bit frayed.

Not a full dinner menu. Fair enough, it is a wine bar, not a restaurant, and doesn't pretend otherwise. Maybe a bit far from the autobahn for just an overnight stop. Not its target market, which seemed to be wine loving locals.

Continental breakfast was adequate and coffee was superb. Their own wine was exceptional and great value.

Setting is wonderful.

One of our party has arthritic hip and could not easily go up and down stairs. Her husband is very talk but the room they were given had a shower that was too small for him. Taxi was expensive but that is not your problem.

Happy traveller. I'd happily return to stay at the hotel look and further explore the area.

The whole place and experience. The staff are friendly, helpful and very relaxed. I love the older type buildings filled with history and culture. It's over the road to a bus stop and the railway station is a short walk away. Very close to the Rhine and the town of Oberwesel has a castle and lovely historical buildings.

For me there were no issues.

The start of the "Oberwesel" Wine Festival was a bonus !

The Wine especially and the surrounding scenery around the "Gutsschänke Sennerhof" was wonderful. The owners and staff were very accommodating, also helpful with my wanting to speak a little German, which was much worst than their English. The Wine & food from the restaurant was excellent.

As a disabled person I would have preferred a Bath, however all things considered and for the short time I was there, the shower was sufficient.

Quiet and restful night just beside the Rhein.

Quiet location, pleasant atmosphere, traditional furnishing that is well kept and very respectable. Excellent and very generous breakfast! A short 5 minute walk takes you to Oberwesel where you can view so much by day and enjoy good food by night. Excellent meals also available at the Gutsschanke.

Das beste mit der Ubernachtung war das Mittagessen. Frische Spargeln mit einen sehr guten Sekt dazu. Es scheint dieser Winzer hat eine grosse Auswahl von guten Weine. Fruhstuck war auch gut.

Wunderschönes Oberwesel bei sympathischen Gastgebern

Unser Kurztrip ins malerische Oberwesel wurde durch den Aufenthalt in der Gutsschänke Sennerhof zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Die Gastgeberfamilie Persch empfing uns sehr herzlich und sind beide sehr sympathisch. Die Lage des kleinen Hotels ist ideal, um die charmanten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt und den Rhein bequem zu Fuß zu erkunden. Unser Zimmer war kompakt und sehr sauber und bot einen wunderschönen Blick auf die majestätische Burg. Toll war auch das fantastische Essen und die exzellenten, hauseigenen Weine. Besonders in Erinnerung bleibt uns die spontane und überaus interessante Weinprobe mit Herrn Persch, der sein Wissen mit viel Freude und Humor teilte. Alles in allem war es ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt im wunderschönen Oberwesel. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können die Gutsschänke Sennerhof uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
