Die Wirtin war sehr freundlich und es gab auch was zu trinken, obwohl die Gaststätte geschlossen war. Ein Parkplatz direkt an der Unterkunft.

Der Weg zum Zimmer ist, mit Gepäck und nach einer langen Fahrt mit Motorrad, etwas beschwerlich und lang.

Location was good: a little out of the town but still close enough for a walk along the Rhine and to see the town centre and access amenities. Breakfast was fine too. Fridge for guests was stocked with wine.

I clearly wasn't the right type of guest. There was nobody to receive me when I did arrive (shortly before 18:00). I got asked what I was doing there by the landlady, who told me off for using the night entrance to access the building because I couldn't in theory access the building without the key that I couldn't have until I'd checked in. Instead of welcoming me herself told me to call her husband down so that he could deal with me. Then I got the distinct impression of being viewed with suspicion, even after I'd paid. If you go along and pay for a wine tasting, you're middle-aged and dress respectably; don't sweat on hot days and fill your car with home-produced wine, you might get a smile and some civil words.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was excellent again! Staff are very friendly and the food is great; lighter fare to go with the wines of their winery. Love sitting out on the deck and enjoying the scenery. The room was great with plenty of size not common to a lot of guesthouses. Breakfast was excellent. Look forward to our next return!
