Perfect Rheinsteig Lodging

Friendly staff, clean, and the food was delicious and generous portions. I ate both dinner and breakfast there. I was hiking the Rheinsteig, so they provided to-go bags at breakfast for sandwiches on the trail.

No-frills affordable hotel, very convenient for hikers on the Rheinsteig trail. Good value for money. Good breakfast.

It was good, but I would not recommend going on a Monday.

Breakfast and the owner was very friendly.

It was very confusing as to how to get in the hotel. The restaurant was closed on Monday and we weren’t told that the entrance was on the side. An email would have been very helpful telling us where to park, get in, and that our key was on a table.

great location, food is extraordinary and owner is really special. I stay here every year when I hike the Rheinsteig and will be back next September. I really feel at home here.

Decent stay for a night

Rooms were tidy and clean, very much in the centre. Breakfast was okay (muesli and bread with cheese /meat jam, only missed some fresh fruit or vegetables)

Food in the restaurant was okay, host had a bit of a special way to behave (not going out of his way to help or be kind to (potential) guests)

Nice surprise, Very clean rooms and great breakfast

WE stayed there for only one night as a stopover and we were very happily surprise about the area and beatiful views of the river. The hotel was very clean. Although we arrived after check in time, the staff was really nice to let us check in afterwards. The rooms are very clean and the beds are a nice size to sleep comfortable. The breakfast was great and we had a great conversation with the staff , he made us feel home.

Superb

The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. We were hiking the Rheinsteig and overnighted here and really appreciated that we were encouraged to pack lunches from the breakfast food in the morning (they even provided paper bags to pack sandwiches). The foot cream was also a nice touch for our weary feet. Location was central and within easy walking distance of the Rhein, restaurants, and the ferry to Pfalzgrafenstein.

We could hear a lot of sounds from the corridor and neighboring rooms. It was a very warm night and the rooms do not have air conditioning.

Die Zimmer sind einfach aber sauber und haben alles was man nach einem Wandertag benötigt . Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und das Frühstück ohne Schnick Schnack aber gut . Sehr gut ist die Möglichkeit Abends im Haus Essen zu können .

Die Lage an der Straße - es ist aber Nachts trotzdem überraschend ruhig und wir haben prima geschlafen

Das Hotel ist im Zentrum des Ortes gelegen und bietet ein Restaurant, eine reichhaltige Weinkarte mit Weinen der Umgebung und sehr leckeres Essen. Das Zimmer war groß genug und man hatte ein kleines, aber ausreichendes Badezimmer. Die Fahrräder standen in der Garage und konnten dort geladen werden. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit draußen zu sitzen. Das Frühstück war gut und man hätte sich auch etwas zum mitnehmen machen können.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Deutschen Haus in Kaub. Der Gastgeber ist herzlich, sympathisch und geht wunderbar auf Kinder ein, was die Atmosphäre besonders angenehm macht. Das Frühstück war lecker und die Lage am Rhein eignet sich perfekt für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Insgesamt ein Ort, an dem man sich willkommen fühlt

...Vielleicht einen kleinen Ventilator oder eine Klimaanlage im Zimmer wäre beim 34 Grad nicht verkehrt gewesen.

Von dem Begriff „Hotel“ sollte man sich nicht zu viel erwarten. Eher ein traditioneller Gasthof. Preis-Leistung ok.

Goedkoop verblijf.

We kwamen aan en er lag een documentje klaar met info over de kamer. Bij de ingang hing een papier dat we achteraan naar binnen konden gaan. Wij vonden het eerder een vuile ingang van het hotel. Gelukkig was de kamer wel netjes en ruim. Het bed was ook prima. Het dorpje heeft mogelijkheden, maar het is jammer genoeg wat verlaten en soms triest en onverzorgd. Gelukkig wel lekker kunnen eten in een restaurantje vlakbij. Het restaurant van het hotel was gesloten als wij er waren (één nacht).

We vonden de ingang langs achter aan het hotel niet erg prettig: het was eerder wat vuil en onverzorgd. De kamer was wel netjes. Het ontbijt was ok, tot we tussen ons vlees een vliegje vonden. Dat heeft ons wat afgeschrikt en vonden we onprettig.
