Excellent hotel, will definitely visit again.

Situated directly overlooking the river Rhine, this friendly family run hotel is located in the town of Sankt Goar. Excellent breakfast selection, with helpful staff. Elevator to all floors and large rooms with on-suite bathrooms. Ample parking opposite the hotel costs €7 per day, or free of charge by the train station. Best to ask in the hotel, as I was only there overnight in October, and I don’t know the prices throughout the year!

Unfortunately, there is no evening meals served within the hotel, but there are plenty of restaurants within a five minute walk of the hotel.

Not worth the money.

The breakfast even though basic had some great eggs and peppers!

The professional and kindness from the front desk/ owner. Lacking!! Not even a bottle of water in the room. The room we booked was not the room we received! It was worse. Booked a double room with seating area and balcony. We received a triple room which is a 3rd room with extra bed we did not need and no seating area.

Breakfast was wonderful and varied a bit each day. Hosts were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay there enjoyable!

Parking is off site and a big festival on the weekend required us to park a ways away.

Lovely position overlooking the River Rhine

Very noisy outside, no interaction with staff and so no help or instructions eg that there was a lift. No decaffeinated drinks Needed some cleaning in less easy to access places and some decorations. Not easy to find evening meal on a Monday

Fantastic location overlooking a busy stretch of the Rhine

Fantastic location overlooking a busy stretch of the Rhine with Car ferry crossing several times an hour andf numerous barges and cruise ships. Glorious mountain views. Best to get room with river view we spent hours on our balcony. Excellent cold buffet breakfast.

No air conditioning, fan provided helped. Limited facilities - no bar or restaurant. Town pretty run down with limited restaurants and too many closed shops. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The location was excellent - easy access from the railway station and directly opposite the landing stage for the Rhein Ferry to Rudesheim.

I requested a very basic room. Most of the other rooms had full curtains, but my room only had a roller blind which did not block the morning light. [Not a fault of the hotel} sadly, St Goar has been impacted by the cruise ships with many shops / bars / restaurants closed

Comfortable sleep after a hard day’s sightseeing and pleasant owner.

Great location on the riverfront near to the dock for the KD cruises and a short walk from the Tourist Information office. Bus stops and easy access to the castle by bus. Good size room and comfortable bed, breakfast included.

No secure luggage room to store luggage whilst waiting for the room to be ready. We’d asked for an early check in and was messaged 2pm would be ok. Had to leave our cases in reception which isn’t manned so had to carry our backpacks around with us whilst visiting the Rhinefells castle. Went back afterward 2pm but still not ready so had to continue to visit Loreley as we only had one day there. These were the things we came to the town to do. It was very hot so made it uncomfortable for us. The only other thing was that being so close to the river, there are little biting flies that can be attracted to the light in the room at nighttime. And there’s an outside terrace below the rooms and a late night shop next door where people sit and talk and you can hear everything in the room.

One of our best experiences in all our travels.

The location was excellent in the most beautiful part of the Rhine. Owner went above and beyond when we had travel with our car service and walked us over carrying bags to the train station and we made our flight.

Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good and the location was right next to the Rhein. Our room was upgraded and had a fantastic view overlooking the river.

Loved it , just good quality accomodation

Great location, breakfast just right as a continental but lots of extra choices. Rooms big and fitted out with quality furnishing . By far the best hotel that we have stayed in on our extensive travels. Great host to boot. View from our window was brilliant , right over the river. Tea and coffee in the room is said to be available but we were able to get it one evening at a request and wifi a little weak in our room but all in all just great

based on some of the comments of former travellers my expectations were not too high. We found the hotel fully renovated. We particularly liked the location. The view from the room on the Rhine river is beautiful. It is a pleasure to sip a coffee and enjoy the view. The chair and the small table in front of the window are excellent for that purpose. The staff is very kind, breakfast is good.

There is nothing we did not like. The lobby is still a bit shabby, probably not yet fully renovated. There is no elevator.

Great location directly facing the Rhine River. The River boat cruise office and departure is directly across the street. It was very reasonably priced for five nights.

Smallest room I had ever stayed in. No a/c which was expected. Very comfortable at night with the window open.
