Only go if you're not bothered by rude staff or too crowded buffet, and maybe just to sleep.

We liked the location and overall look of the hotel, it was a nice scenery and that free parking and boat ride was provided. We reserved with half board, and even though the variety was the meals were tasty sadly it became a stressful time for us as it was too crowded and we had to walk 2 halls over to find a free table and again we had to walk from buffet to our table carrying our food all the way, wouldn't recommend half board because of this. It would be less stressful to get dinner somewhere and just going back to the hotel with boat, as it's scheduled every hour. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable so that was a positive remark. Indoor pool and whirlpool was nice but again quite crowded to enjoy. Servers and cleaners, and only them, were the nicest people but can't say the same about rest of the staff. I can't say anything about outside pools or the sea as it eas off season, but I won't go back to find out after this experience.

While leaving, we had a huge disappointment about the hotel staff, and honestly can't see ourselves coming back. When we were waiting for the shuttle to go to the parking lot, the island hotel reception staff at the boat dock, (one older lady at reception desk and another woman, I think she was working maybe at inside office, behind the bar somewhere) were very rude and not pleasant at all. The receptionist basically dismissed us when I was asking questions as there was a huge crowd and no line in sight for shuttle bus, she just kept saying "10 minutes, every 10 minutes, one shuttle" with a dismissing tone and face. After this i still said okay thanks, went out and maybe 2-3 minutes later other woman came from inside and slammed the door shut while mumbling to herself angrily while we were in front of it. I got angry as a reason, and even if we didn't cause a scene it ruined our whole day. They have a huge attitude problem, this is apparent, we felt more welcome at the 3 star hotel we stayed before this one because we booked at the last minute for a weekend trip. Maybe it was better we didn't spend longer time here as we originally planned. Definitely not coming back unless some things has changed...

Absolutely loved the hotel and location and chilled out atmosphere

We loved the location, chilled out vibes, range of water sports and especially liked not having to fight for a sunbed everyday. The food was pretty good too, especially the pizzas

We had a really hot room the first 2 days and kept getting told the temperature was normal, the fan was barely blowing and the room temperature was 27 degrees. We spent a lot of time reporting this to reception who did try to deal with it, however we knew the rooms went cooler as we had friends staying in a different room and their air conditioning worked. On the third day they must’ve done something as it seemed to be fixed. Small issue really but we did struggle to sleep those first few days due to the room being so hot

Beautiful island experience – would love to return!

We absolutely loved the incredibly beautiful island with its stunning nature and clear, calm sea. The hotel grounds were picturesque and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. The rooms were nicely renovated and comfortable, even though some minor things didn’t work properly. Dinner was a real highlight — delicious and varied every evening. Overall, our holiday was truly wonderful, and we’d be happy to return.

Breakfast, although tasty, lacked variety — the same food selection each day quickly became repetitive. The bathroom had a persistent musty smell, despite us leaving the door open and using the fan, which seemed to be not effective enough. Also, the sunshades on the balcony were not working, which was a bit inconvenient.

In the evening there is always white and red wine, beer, juices and other drinks... My children were very pleased, especially with French fries, pizza, cakes, ice cream... Reception specialists is the face of the Hotel! Face of the Hotel Island Istra is veri nice, clever, friendly, smiling, understanding, always ready to help! A green island in the azure sea with the cries of seagulls and the whisper of an incoming wave - what could be more romantic for a summer holiday...

Beer would be nice in the morning too...)))

Lovely hotel in beautiful location, air-conditioning needs updating.

The location was great and we enjoyed getting the boat to and from Rovinj. Plenty of sun-loungers around pool and island and lots of places where you could swim. Food was good with plenty of choice at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

The air conditioning really struggles which can make buffet restaurant unpleasant. Room temperature only got down to 24-25 degrees if you kept the balcony blind down and the curtains fully closed at all times. Mini bar barley cooled drinks so only option for cold water etc. was to purchase from bar.

Pleasant stay for families

Variety range of food, nice and clean rooms, good program for kids during the day, good excess to the sea, you can choose if you want to stay “in the crowd” or prefer privacy in the shadow of trees.

The second half of July was quite crowded-problem even to find a table during breakfast and dinner. Poor evening program. Once a week live music (except Captain’s club) directly under the windows of people trying to sleep. Music until 11 p.m., even more, very loud-not a pleasant experience.

The island was stunning Hotel areas were immaculate Best kids club we have seen Great beaches for snorkelling Lovely pizza restaurant on the island Lots of different pools to choose from Suites were good size and comfortable

Absolutely amazing - wonderful location and superb hotel

Fabulous Hotel - ugly from the outside but inside is really lovely. Buffet breakfast was great, although if you get there after 8am be prepared to queue - SO busy! Dinner buffet wasn't included in what we paid for thank goodness, we did it a couple of times just for convenience but I'm glad we didn't have to do it every night - SO busy and people are SO rude - they literally push you out of the way to get to the food - I hated it! Pools fabulous, location amazing, free boat to and from the mainland awesome, outside bar area gorgeous, pizza restaurant on site fabulous, watersports good. Loads of sunbeds everywhere! You can walk all the way round both islands which we loved. Shame about a few things being shut but I guess that's the impact of Covid and lack of staff sadly. Overall, a fabulous hotel in an amazing location - we will be back!

The only couple of tiny niggles - people smoking EVERYWHERE - at the pool, at breakfast outside, at the bar, literally everywhere - hideous! Especially at breakfast - yuk! The 3rd "sofa bed" in our family room was awful - so uncomfortable and small but luckily my 10 year old was so exhausted every night he went to sleep - he hated it though!

it is a great complex with a beautiful view everywhere and cool pools. what we liked the most and were surprised by was the restaurant. so much choice amd everythig was good.

the room needs some renovation. sadly, when we came, it was not properly cleaned.

Superb

I think the location of the hotel was of all the most perfect. Breakfast was all you can wish for with local foods. Our room was a junior suite and it was quite big. There were lots of activitis for adoults and kids. Kids playroom is fun enough. The island is beautiful and the ferry ride in the sunset is a must see. Welness of the hotel is worth enjoying.

Location is great, dive centre on site. Pools, quietness

Safe broken, balcony canopy broken, all rooms set to 25c unable to adjust. My room was 27 or 28 and you cant control air con from the room. It was too hot. Told would be moved on 2nd day. But too long to arrange I checked out early. Want better service for that money. Its expensive for croatia
