Lovely room and stay in this oasis!

Lovely spot for a restful stay on a cycling trip. Room was comfortable with a beautiful view of Sancerre. The breakfast in the garden was lovely and our host was very friendly and accommodating.

Warm and welcoming chambre d'hote next to the beautiful viaduct.

This chambres d'hote was quite wonderful. We received a very warm welcome from the lady who runs it. Our room was a generous size and breakfast was excellent with home-made jam and good coffee to keep the baguettes company. Nothing seemed too much trouble for madam - she was so great, incuding washing our smelly cycling clothes. The position is brilliant, close to the beautiful railway viaduct after which it is named. The railway has long since gone, but the viaduct acts as a cycle track and provides a short cut to the walk up the hill to the wonderful and very pretty town of Sancerre. We spent two nights at the chambre d'hote and enjoyed Sancerre's famous white wine (the red is good too) sitting in a sun-lit square in the town. What's not to like?

Het ontbijt was uitstekend. De netheid van de kamer en badkamer/WC wasexcellent.

Communicatie bij aankomst ( ontbreken van buitensleutel° verholpen na een 25 minuten. Badkamer delen is moeilijk ( gelukkig was er geen 2de kamer bezet). Badkamer is héél basic. Douche is moeilijk te regelen en heeft een zwakke straal. Is niet geschikt voor te grote personen. 2X Hoofd gestoten op lage zoldering

L’appartement et les chambres ont un petit côté « librairie » ou vintage, très original. La propriétaire est très sympathique et nous a servit un très bon petit déjeuner avec des confitures et autres plats maison.
