Apartments Caleta

The location was perfect to explore Split. The apartment is fully equipped with everything needed. The terrace is perfect. No hesitation in recommending to other visitors. Communication with Jelena was easy and efficient.

Cannot think of anything. Really a perfect apartment.

This was the first time we have been to a rented apartment that has an accurate description and pictures (the pictures on the site are a combination of the two apartments that are next to one another in the building). It is of the highest quality and generally well equipped. Facilities are all as listed. Jelena is a great communicator, kept us updated with entry using keysafe, instructions for washing machine etc. There was even washing stuff to use. Good supply of towels bedding etc. There is a safe in the wardrobe. The balcony is very spacious, one of the sunbeds was broken. I notified Jelena and she brought a new sunbed the next morning. There was minimal, if any noise from the residents in adjoining properties. There was lots of information booklets etc re places to visit, eat etc. The location is perfect for The historic Diocletian area and the harbour, 5 minutes walk. This is where the majority of the restaurants and bars are, for us we found it too busy, also a lot of places charge for the location. It's worth looking outside this area for more authentic restaurants with more local food and better prices. There are 2 supermarkets a minutes walk away plus other smaller food shops. It's approximately 15 minutes relatively easy walk to Bacvice beach. This beach is sandy ( of a kind) but very busy. If you walk a 5 minutes further along there are some man made shingle beaches that are less busy but perfect for swimming / sunbathing Ovcice Beach. If you are going to the beaches bear in mind the average cost of a relaxer is 25 euros per day

Nothing major to dislike about the apartment. I suggested to Jelena would be good to have some bigger glasses (ie pint glasses / tumblers), a bread knife and also some improved lighting on the patio. It's nice to sit out there in the evening but not bright enough to read. She responded to this and I have no doubt she will act on it. Again nothing to do with apartment but Parking in Split can be a nightmare. We had hired a car as we drove down from Zadar. There is paid on street parking but it is from 7am to 7 pm. Prices change in different zones. There is an app to use to pay for parking or on street machines but you can't pay in advance (not that I could work out how to do anyway) so you would have to get up early to pay for the parking. We found a 24 hour car park SplitParking 5 minutes from the apartment that was ok but worked out very expensive for a week. Something to bear in mind if you're thinking about hiring a car. Although easier than public transport works out much more expensive.

We had a very pleasant stay in this apartment in Split. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The location was excellent – within walking distance of the Old Town, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Despite being so close to everything, the area was quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was the large terrace, which was perfect for enjoying breakfast or simply unwinding in the evening. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also really appreciated being able to check in early in the morning, which made our arrival much more convenient. We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Split.

Great communication from the host, video sent via whatsapp of how to access the keys & equipment as we had a late check in. Everywhere was clean, bed large & comfy and a great shower with plenty of toilet paper in the bathroom. Also a hairdryer & washing machine if needed.

The only improvement that could be made would be to provide a toaster in the kitchen.
