Can't get better Hosts

The hosts and owners were outstanding, Wonderful welcome with pastries and coffee, also spoke good English. It had limited parking but that was close by and good. Enjoyed evening meal. The hosts also made us sandwiches for our journey home. It is a small guest house and quite quaint, old world, but room had small kitchenette couch and table as well as small shower/bathroom. It is close to tramway so access into Cologne would be good and was close to motorway so worked for us well

It's not so much a did not like it's just very quaint and a little cluttered

Loveliest people, traditional hotel experience

The Wessels are the loveliest, most accommodating people. We had bikes to store, had to leave early on a Sunday morning and they made this work. They set everything ready so we could have coffee first thing, made us a big packed breakfast (that lasted us our entire day of travelling). The hotel is very traditional which makes it really comfortable. The location is in a village setting with cycle paths and woods nearby, an approximate 30 min. Ride to the Koln/Bonn Airport. Would have been super easy and sll on cycle paths except for the road maintenance underway.

Amazing traditional German guest house. Herr Wessel and his wife were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exactly what a German Gasthaus should provide. Absolutely perfect. Rooms were comfortable and well kept. Refrigerator was even stocked with affordable drinks and a "night cap" dessert! Local area had great restaurants, including the one with the hotel, within easy walking distance. Much safer and quieter than staying downtown and paying for parking. Much better to stay here, take a quick train ride directly to the city and avoid all the traffic.

Breakfast was very good, The owners were very sweet and despite our lack of german they still managed to fulfill our needs. We slept well, the beds were comfortable

Slightly far away from Central Cologne, if youre not familiar with public transport it can be costly but we liked staying further away from the busy centre

The best hospitality I’ve ever had for a place I’d never been.

The hotel is so fun and full of character. I can’t speak highly enough of the greeting hospitality and full on welcome we got. It felt like visiting a loved Uncle and Aunt. Breakfast was a great spread and really set us up for the day. And leaving the hotel, the parting gift was so sweet and heart warming. Put a smile on our face all day and started our holiday off on the right foot.

Wir sind bei unserer Ankunft vom Herrn des Hauses mit einem erfrischend kühlen Kölsch begrüßt worden. Der Gastraum, das Treppenhaus und auch das Zimmer sind mit diversen Kuriositäten bestückt. Sammler kommen hier auf ihre Kosten.
