Charming welcome and top quality service from all family management and staff (who are also kind enough to put up with our very poor German and speak to us in fluent English). Delicious food. Great peaceful location with lovely gardens

Calm simplicity with great dining.

Quiet location in forested region. Excellent food with elegant dining on the terrace. Easy and relaxed manner of staff. Pleasant but uphill walk through local cemetery to reach the Schloss Bensberg.

I only stayed one day and no time to enjoy forest or local town walks.

We would not stay here again

As the hotel is in a superb of Bergisch Gladbach there is nothing else around such as bars & restaurants, as the hotel is so understaffed it was very hard to find a member of staff to even get a drink. There is a municipal pool within walking distance but no discounts for hotel guests Although the room stated double bed it wasn’t Also no lift or Air conditioning, not even a fan in the room, as the temperature was over 35 degrees we were disappointed as the cost per night does not merit the amount.

Not much to say on the good side as we only staid there for a night and had a pretty packed up schedule. Facilities seemed nice and breakfast was ok.

We staid for a single night after a family christmas celebration. The heating system was not working and there was no hot water. We called reception many times and they were out. Some other guests told us the hot water was off for three days and nobody really seemed to care: "oh, it's holidays..."

The Rooms are in a separate Building build in the 1960s I guess and the complete Building does not fit to the nice Main building, especially the interior.

Disappointing

The location is perfect for a forest walk. If you get the room in the main building you get the fantastic view and silence. Parking is free.

In the 2nd building cleaning starts at 7.30 and you can hear every move of the stuff. Super noisy and uncomfortable if you want to relax in the morning before the hard day. Also, the walls are so thin that you can hear the neighbors speaking. The restaurant on Sunday was closed.

Ideal location near the forest which offers nice opportunities for leisure walks. Very friendly staff. Rooms were big, modern and very comfortable.

The TVs could have been bigger, but we were not there to watch TV.

Preis Leistung passt nicht, Renovierungsstau Die Zimmer waren bei Ankunft kalt, extrem fusskalt und das Bad gleichte einer Krankenhauseinrictung. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer Deluxe gebucht, aber was wir bekommen haben war absolut nicht Deluxe

gerne wieder!!!

obwohl sommerpause ist, wurden wir super und herzlich aufgenommen. und da es daher nur frühstück (es sehr feines) gab, holten wir was aus dem städtchen fürs nachtessen. der hotelmanager organisierte für uns gekühlte weisswein, bier und wasser. wir verbrachten einen wunderbaren abend auf der terrasse und erholten uns von einer langen fahrt.

Das Waldhotel Mangold ist eine kleine Perle unter den Romantikhotels. Wer Freude an ausgesuchter Kunst an der Wand vom Gobelin bis Chagall und einem historisch gewachsenen gemütlich familiären Ambiente in Waldrandlage hat, ist hier richtig. Die Zimmer sind alle sehr gepflegt, aber unterschiedlich in der Ausstattung.

Super miejsce dla osób szukających spokojnego , smacznego miejsca, gdzie można odrobinę odetchnąć.

Piękne miejsce oddalone od miasta, cisza, spokój , spacerkiem można iść do miasta gdzie jest wiele restauracji, piękna przyroda. Bardzo smaczne śniadania i pomocny personel. To co mnie bardzo zaskoczyło to pismo święte - hotel rodzinny ponoć w jednej rodzinie od 100 lat. Bardzo mi się podobało miejsce gdzie znajduje się hotel. Mieliśmy problem z wodą, w mig został rozwiązany. To hotel ponoć 100 letni więc nowoczesnego wnętrza nie mamy, ale mamy bardzo przytulne miejsce gdzie jemy śniadanie. Pokoje mają znak czasu ale to taki urok tego obiektu, ale za to czysto i pokój był naprawdę bardzo duży z bardzo dużą łazienką.
