Noble Apartment - Highland Club

Magnificent setting and beautiful historic building. The grounds are very well maintained and the location is excellent. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. The swimming pool and leisure facilities are a nice addition. Staying in a former private college with so much character made the experience unique.

The apartment was advertised as having a "large double bed", but after measuring it we found it to be only about 140 cm wide, which is a standard double bed rather than a large double, queen-size or king-size bed. We chose this accommodation partly for this reason and were disappointed. The bed was too narrow for us to sleep comfortably and my husband ended up sleeping on the sofa. We also felt that the interior finishes, furniture and fittings were rather basic and did not reflect the prestige of the building or the price paid. Finally, the swimming pool only opens at 9:00 am while check-out is at 10:00 am. For guests staying only one night, this leaves very little time to enjoy the facilities and makes the experience feel rushed.

Un ancien monastère magnifique avec un emplacement idéal au bord du Lock Ness. Les espaces communs de l'appartement et une cuisine particulièrement bien équipée. Cela reste un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Accueil minimaliste, avec une orientation sommaire dans un espace qui tient du labyrinthe. Les espaces communs, qu'on est amené à traverser régulièrement, manquent cruellement de caractère et de soin — l'atmosphère est loin d'un lieu chargé d'histoire. Vraiment dommage pour un site aussi singulier. À cela s'ajoute une literie peu confortable, qui nuit à la qualité du séjour.

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit allem, was man im Urlaub braucht. Auch für längere Aufenthalte geeignet.

Es war perfekt!

Eine tolle, kleine Wohnung in einem wunderschönen, historischen Gebäude. Die Möglichkeiten mit dem Schwimmen, Gym etc. sind wirklich toll obwohl wir sie nicht genutzt haben.

Die Matrazen der Einzelbetten waren leider sehr hart und man spürte jede Sprungfeder. Die fehlende Kaffeemaschine (danke für die Info in einer Vorrezension) haben wir uns selbst mitgebracht. Das scheint hier in Schottland aber normal zu sein, es war schon unsere vierte Wohnung ohne Kaffeemaschine.
