Unique location in a special natural area, in an already beautiful part of the country

We visited over Xmas and enjoyed that the hosts had decorated extensively and very nicely for us. The piano was also extensively in use, which hopefully didn't disturb but inspired the birds in the surrounding beautiful RSPB reserve!

With such a large place we happily entertained local family and could have used a little more crockery, but managed thanks to the dishwasher. There was plenty of other kitchen equipment though.

A great base to see the local area from.

The location was fantastic and an excellent base to travel and sight seeing from.

The Wifi signal was really poor and the reported Google TV didn’t work ( possibly due to the signal issues) There were no instructions/ guidance at the property at all so we would recommend that helpful information is left for those staying. Whilst the property was large we did struggle with the lighting as many lamps/ lights didn’t work leaving many rooms very dark.

magical location, perfect break

We had a lovely time. The location is in the middle of a nature reserve with wildlife everywhere. There’s a very quiet shore line that’s approx 15 mins walk along one of the trails. A great park is en route. The house itself is very quirky, we especially enjoyed the outside space, the gardens are wild but have a mown pathway areas. You actually have deer in the the next field & an excellent lit seating area. As a whole we had a great week, the surrounding areas were extremely busy but we were completely cut off - it’s approx 25 mins to swanage by car.
