Good central location for a base in Mechelen near the cathedral.

We had a city triple room, which was perfect to give our daughter a room of her own. The room was spacious enough for us and the fridge was useful. We loved having the pool, which we had to ourselves when we went, though it was on the cooler side for my wife. The room and shower were warm enough. We parked at Parking Zandpoortvest, which was great value, but a bit of a walk from the hotel and cobbled (not great for wheeled suitcases).

The bathroom would benefit from a towel rail to dry towels and clothes (it was cold and wet when we visited). The floor under the beds was not clean, however, the other areas seemed fine.

Room was fine, bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was too simple for what it cost - way overpriced for such little choices! Checkout at 10am is way too early. Most hotels do midday.

I like the very spacious and clean room that we get for the price. The bathroom is fantastic, so big and clean and nice hot water. I love how there are different options on the TV.

Nicely decorated common areas. Small rooms that disappointed a little.

Breakfast was really good. Although a little bit more fruit and fresh orange juice rather than store-bought would be nice. Lobby and downstairs areas are beautifully decorated.

Rooms are very small and furniture felt quite old and cheap. Bathroom had what looked like toilet soap in the shower (in a dispenser you would see at public toilets).

Altogether I really enjoyed my stay and found this hotel ideal for our purposes.

The buffet breakfast was excellent. The location was really good. We were 5 minutes walk from the centre of Mechelen. The swimming pool was large enough to get a decent swim and just the right temperature for me. The bedroom was quiet, the bed comfortable and the shower was really good. The reception staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful.

The rooms weren't cleaned everyday . There was a damp smell in the swimming pool area and the water wasn't as clear as it should have been. There were one or two maintenance issues eg a bedroom door that didn't lock and a toilet that continued to flush until you pressed again.

Medicore

Perfectly located, this hotel sits in a prime spot—just a short walk from the main square, yet tucked away enough to avoid the heavy nighttime traffic. Part of the hotel includes separate apartment units, and we stayed in one of them. It featured a spacious shower and a very comfortable bed. From the apartment building, there’s direct access to a beautiful garden filled with olive trees—an ideal place to relax with a bottle of wine in the evening.

Unfortunately, both the sink and the shower were clogged from the very beginning, which caused half the room to flood after every shower. When we reported the issue, we were told that the maintenance team was unavailable due to the long weekend. The apartment was not very clean—there was dirt inside the fridge, the baseboards were covered in dust, and there were stains and signs of dampness on the kitchen wall. The apartment also lacked basic furniture like a sofa or armchairs, and the TV was mounted flat against the wall in the middle of the room, making it impossible to angle it toward the bed.

The walls are thin and dusty. The room is dark because it is next to the garden, the curtain cannot be drawn because everyone can see in. The male receptionist does not say hello at night, his phone is more important.

Disappointing

The room we were given is no match to the photos. Probably we were given the worst room as we checked-in late night. We were given room with dirty floor, towels. The window was closed even then there were noise from the street. We were told by the night staff that the breakfast is available until 11AM, around 9.40am we discovered that the breakfast will be served only till 10am.

The location is great and the room is big, good bathroom and big windows. Good breakfast as for few days. The good swimming pool faced to the open tears, so nice to lay outside for sunbath). Very friendly staff.

Some dust were here and there on the lamps, some chairs with broken legs. It would be great to have a toilet brush.

Our bathroom smelled so bad like sewage from the moment we walked in the room. There was no bathroom fan, so no way to vent the smell out. The smell of sewage from our bathroom in our room was a big turn off
