The location was perfect. The property was clean, the shower was great! The bed was comfortable and the building was quiet.

If anything, I would say the pillows were not the best.

A great apartment in a super location - would recommend.

Great location, comfortable apartment with good facilities.

The weather was very cold when we visited (as to be expected in November). All the floors are a type of hard synthetic flooring which is very cold. Great to have a stylist gas fire.

Great location + kitchen, TV doesn't work

Location was fab. Well equipped kitchen, no cooking oil though but everything else you could need was there. Very kind host allowed us to leave our bags since our flight was later on in the day. Shower was great and general design of the whole property was clearly considered and well looked after. They even left a few beers to try on check in. Very nice touch.

TV etc didn't work. I find it v annoying if there are things in a place you've paid to stay that don't work, especially if they are advertised as being in the property. I have a chronic health condition and even on holiday have to stay in to rest more than I would like, so I especially booked somewhere where it would be possible to watch a film or something on those nights ...but that wasn't possible at this property even though they advertised it was. I did contact the host but they didn't respond to questions about the TV etc while they did about leaving the bags, which leaves me thinking they know the TV etc doesn't work but have not fixed it.

Great location everything a couple needs for a stay

While it was fine for us the stairs are steep so be aware of this if you are older or have mobility issues or large and heavy bags. Some daytime noise from nearby construction work during our stay

Wonderful stay

Great apartment, right in the centre of old town. Very spacious with good layout. Kitchen was great, comfortable bed, and good airflow. The apartment was better than we had anticipated. Communication with host was excellent. Highly recommended

As others have said, stairs are narrow and steep, but of a challenge for us but we knew about them before booking. It's part of being in a historic building

Ideal base for a visit to Ghent

Ideal location for seeing inner Ghent. There is a well equiped kitchen and comfortable living area, and the bed was large and comfortable . There is a very good supermarket across the river two minutes away. The owner kindly helped get us a taxi on departure as the area us pedestrian only.

The narrow staircase to the first floor apartment is difficult with suitcases and the decent must be taken with care. The bathroom is small with no door to the bedroom

We did really have a perfect stay in this apartment at Ghent

The apartment is located only 10 seconds of walk from the sights of Graslei and Korenlei. It is so close to the river. Gravensteen Castle is also reachable in less than 5 minutes. So it is a perfect place to stay. But as there is a distance from the train station, and the nearest tram stop, I would strongly recommend to take a taxi to come here. The apartment is clean and comfortable to stay. All equipments are in good condition. We have all the things we need for meal preparation at the kitchen. The bed is comfortable and big. The window of the living room is floor-to-ceiling glass. Therefore we love the brightness of the room. The host is so nice. She well prepared and provided all we need for our stay. In addition she gave us all the favour she can offer to us which is far out of our expectation. Therefore I really have to say thank you again to our host, Ingrid.

Great place in the heart of Ghent

- Great location right in the centre - Very clean and comfortable - host provided free beer 😉 - despite a few negatives a great place to stay in Ghent!

- Currently next to building site (June 2025) - no parking space for bikes - quite hot in summer (a fan would be a great addition)

Stylish, well-located

We really enjoyed our stay here. Ideal location for Ghent – just steps from everything, and even a little view. The apartment was stylish and comfortable, with hits of colour and art throughout. The bedroom was spacious, dark, and quiet. The kitchen had everything we could need for our stay, the bathroom was bright, and the gas fireplace was appreciated on a rainy evening. Note: there are two apartments available, the orange (201) and the green (101).

Both apartments are accessed up a narrow twisting stairway. Communication was uneven.

We stayed 4 nights in the Orange room. The location was excellent. It is a very pretty area to walk through over the bridges at 10am when no one is about. Close to eateries and drinks and very central. The room was spacious. Kitchen was lovely. Bathroom was functional. Very quiet and peaceful. Host was pleasant. Easy check-in and check-out process. Lots of room....far better than a hotel with a small room. Great host, very responsive. Would stay here again without a doubt.

The bed probably needs to be replaced soonish. The bed is slumped on the two sides and raised in the middle. It's not uncomfortable, but nedither as comformatable as it ought to be for 4 nights. 1-2 nights would be OK. Easily fixed by the owner. We did not complain to the owner as maybe it was just us after 3 months of travel through Europe...weary bones and all that! We still slept OK. A narrow, winding and steep staircase, but the owner cannot do anything about that. It is part of the charm and the owner has painted the walls white and makde it open with glass balastrade. While the sofa was OK and the table and chairs too. For the size and location of the property, the owner could replace the sofa, bed and table and chairs to high end, and charge far more. The property is worth it. We would recommend to anyone as the positives for this property is many.

A convenient apartment for exploring Ghent

Spacious apartment a stone's throw from the historical area. Nice and light inside (apart from bedroom). Decent standard of furnishing and well-equipped in terms of utensils and crockery. Excellent mattress. Good shower. Good towels. We were allowed to leave luggage there on our last day. Overall decent but for the money we expected things to be immaculate.

We arrived on a very cold day to a freezing cold apartment. Heating below 10C and a window left open. Took several hours to warm up. No sign of Ingrid - showroom downstairs is empty - but did get Whatsapp messages after a delay. Couldn't light the fire because the pilot light wasn't lit, no instructions but worked it out eventually. The cleaning is mostly good but some spots such as the thermostat weren't clean. The toilet is unheated but if you leave the door open to warm it up the light stays on. No hot water in toilet basin taps. Basic toiletries in shower room. Kettle is small and doesn't boil in one go. Noise from design museum rebuild next door (but not at the weekend).

Perfect spot for our 3 nights in Ghent

Wonderful, spacious and comfortable apartment in great location. So glad we stayed here, it couldn’t have been any nicer. The fireplace was a nice bonus on the cold evenings. Close to historic sights, restaurants, shopping and grocery. Did take taxi to/from train station.

Perfect city centre location in a modern stylish apartment.

The location is incredible. So close to the touristic centre of Gent. Easily walkable everywhere. Massive and very comfortable bed. I am very tall and often struggle in hotels and apartments but had no problems at all. The linens and towels were great quality. Well appointed kitchen and the fit and finish of the whole apartment well executed and thought through. Its probably the best all-round city-break apartment we've ever stayed in.

No reflection on the property at all, but beware if you are driving that the apartment and associated public carpark is in the Gent Low Emission Zone which requires foreign visitors to register their vehicle in advance. Its free, but needs some organising online before you arrive - scanning and uploading documents and the like.

Wonderful apartment in a picturesque location

Amazing communication right from the start. Wonderful apartment in a fabulous location. It had all you needed for a short or medium term break, fully functioning kitchen, comfortable bed, fantastic gas fire, plenty of storage. Can highly recommend and we hope to return to explore more around Gent!

Simply perfect!

The apartment is very centrally located, amidst the bars, restaurants and monuments of the old town. It is nicely decorated with eye for detail and all necessary items are present (water, beers, cooking utensils, hair dryer, etc). Although a space to store our luggage was not foreseen, the guest did her utmost best to find a solution and help us!

The location is in the middle of the old city of Ghent, just across the river from the main pub area, so it is not noisy and can walk to the restaurants and pubs. Also there is a tramline just around the corner connecting to the Central Railway station and Flanders Expo.

Superb location in a Ghent

It is very central yet quiet. Everywhere is within walking distance so the apartment really could not be more convenient. It is stylish, warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were made very welcome even though we arrived earlier than we had said. The selection of beer in the fridge was a very nice touch and it was also very lovely and cosy to have a fire
