Sunset on a deck

Sunset deck, pool and friendly staff. Nice large room and porch.

Long walk to the restaurant / deck Outside shower supplied hot water for about a minute then goes cold. When it rains water stream into the bathroom through the wall. Limited breakfast

The view from the restaurant was nice and I liked the variety of pools they had there. The second room we got was much more comfortable and smelt very lovely. The rooms are also nice and roomy.

Initially we were placed into a bungalow that smelt like it hadn’t been aired out in a while. It seemed a bit dated and unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working. The hot water only lasted a few minutes and the showers were salt water. The room was quite dark as there was a wall between the front and back room.

Loved the pool view villas, superb pools for swimming lengths, very quiet, relaxing vibe. Upstairs restaurant Bar area with great sunset views and happy hour. Fresh made juices mango, pineapple were superb. Omelette breakfast was great. Love the outdoor showers. Friendly staff. 2 mins to Sandy Bay beach club, shops, cafes eateries.

Grounds were well kept and pools were amazing. Staff were always available to assist with anything we needed, and the restaurant was nice and close with a great view and wonderful food/drinks.

Bed was not as comfortable as I had hoped for and was very squeaky when your rolled over which made getting a full night sleep difficult.

Sunset Vila Lembongan Stay

Pros: The location is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. One standout feature is the outdoor bathroom, it's exposed to the sun, which is a real bonus given the island's humid climate. It's a great spot to air out your swimwear and laundry, letting them get a natural sun-kissed drying. The property boasts two lovely pools and a beautifully landscaped yard that really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The cottage itself is spacious with high ceilings, making it feel even more open and airy. Its proximity to the cliffside is another major perk. There's a swing at the cliffside bar where you can sit, unwind, and enjoy the dramatic sight and sound of waves crashing against the rocks below, perfect for a chill moment.

Cons: Bites: I did notice a few red bug bites after the second night of my stay (on my arm, neck, and even my face), though they weren’t anything serious, no itching or discomfort, just a little red dots. As of writing this a week later, the marks are already fading, and I feel completely fine. Island-Specific Tip: When visiting this island, it’s crucial to travel light. The roads are undeveloped, and many cottages are up sloped paths or stairs, making heavy luggage a real challenge. If you can, avoid rolling luggage and stick to something more manageable. Room Key: The room key is unnecessarily large, it's basically a wooden block. While it's a quirky design, it makes it less convenient to take it with you. I really wish they had gone with something smaller and more practical.

Wonderful oasis with garden & 3 different pools!

This place offers a little dream oasis for your soul! Above the cliffs and the ocean, so that you not just hear the noise of the waves, but also feel their resonance. My bungalow was as pictured in my dreams. A king size bed, the shower under the stars and the bathroom spacious! It has all you long for fduring a beach holiday. 10 min walk to the next beach and great places to watch the sunset (like the sunset bar itself) without needing to move much. I would totally recommend! Great value for money!

A little kettle in the room would have been nice and some tea, in case one needs some in the morning before going to the common area.

Relaxing

It was quiet and within walking distance for eating out. The view for sunset was unimpeded. You can see the island in about 4 hours by car. Suggest you don't drive it yourself as it is highly likely you will get lost. There are 3 pools which we used every day (the same one). The villa we had (number 15) was spacious and has a TV (which you had to request). We stayed there for 4 days.

Location and views were spectacular. I also like the outdoor bathroom and the 3 pools were great especially the lap pool and thank goodness for the mozzie net around the bed!

The whole place needs alot of TLC very run down. The villa was very dark and drab and lots of mozzies at night. The breakfast was very basic and tasteless. Also stairs going up to roof top were very steep.

Peaceful Paradise

This is such a beautiful hidden gem. It's not new or flashy but well cared for. Beautiful gardens and 3 pools to choose from. Breakfast was so tasty every morning. The staff are so nice and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.

Major improvements needed before I would ever stay here again.

The location was great. Staff were friendly.

The cleanliness was very poor. Floors were filthy There was a major issue with mosquitoes. There were gaps in the bedroom ceilings for mosquitoes to get in and the mosquito nets around the beds were not adequate. We had to buy our own additional mosquito spray and plug in repellers as my 6yo daughter was eaten alive. No one came to our rooms to collect dishes after we ordered food. We had to return our dishes to kitchen each time. Day beds around the pool were very old and dirty, some even moldy. Gardens could do with a bit of cleaning up also.

I love sunset villas, the staff are all so friendly and take the time and effort to get to know you and show real interest in you and what you are doing and the grounds are beautiful, and location is incredible too.

The location of the restaurant and bar was amazing, overlooking the ocean with perfect sunset views, turtles and dolphins. Very spacious and clean rooms all with convenience of pools outside. The staff were super friendly, very helpful and have great English.

We loved Sunset Villas, the location is perfect. There are 3 pools to choose from. Staff are very friendly, especially Blacky the owner. He also organised scooters for us as well as laundry. Highly recommend!

Lovely location and good value for the money

We really enjoyed the location and the beautiful view from the roof terrace. Blacky and his staff are all very helpful and friendly.

It could be cleaner in the cottages, it feels like everything is a bit old and not very clean. The pools are clean and nice.

The pools were very clean, and the poolside bungalow is huge with a separate living area and a big fridge and a verandah with a day bed, the outdoor bathroom is mostly undercover and nice. The air conditioning worked well. The coldest beers we had found anywhere. Staff are always happy to organise transport and activities.

Lovely position close to lots of restaurants, Sandy bay beach and Dream beach/Devils tears. Lovely pools and great sunset views. Loved watching the turtles in the bay while eating breakfast. Staff are lovely and can organise anything you need.

large quiet property with ocean view

very nice ocean front with sunset view, large hotel property with 3 different swimming pools, own little villa, very quiet (because of low season), friendly staff.

the food is average and wifi does not work properly in the room, and a bit a rough road towards the hotel (but normal on a little island).

Bigger swimmimg pools than the competition

The choice of three pools was great (note that all three pools are deep so you need to be comfortable not touching the bottom). The rooms were a good size with a nice verandah and outdoor bathroom. The sunset view from the restaurant was good and the food was basic but tasty (I recommend the mango juice). It was only a short walk to other restaurants and the Harumaya Spa, and a 10 min walk along leafy roads gets you to Mushroom Bay.

The mosquito net on the bed didn't quite reach the top.of the headboard leaving a gap and mosquitos were present and could get into the room through gaps.
