Perfect location for me, beautiful quiet place, loved the pool.

Beautiful place, decent size clean pool with sunbeds and parasols. Ensuite huts with Aircon, lockers, table, chair and mirror in room, balcony with soft seats and table. Pillow and thick mattress so comfy. Free breakfast and whole area cleaned daily. Great location for me, 1km walk to Mushroom beach one direction and 1km walk the other direction to Dream Beach and Devils Tear and Sunset Point. Pande is an excellent host, it was lovely to see you again.

No curtains on beds but that didn't bother me because 4 bed dorms only. No free water but so cheap from the big shop opposite.

Good value for money. Friendly staff, great location, mini mart next door and a short walk to restaurants, dream beach, devils tear, mushroom bay etc. Scooter hire available for exploring Lembongan and Ceningan islands.

The pool is nice, the rest not so much

The pool and the surrounding area was very nice. The WiFi wasn’t bad either. The bed frames for the bunk beds were nice and sturdy.

No filtered water!! Breakfast is useless unless you live on carbs - white bread, jam and a bit of fruit. The hostel room not great, with many things that are an easy fix but clearly no one cares (there’s two showers and two toilets neither of which can be properly closed making the whole bathroom area useless - only one person at a time), overall it could b a lot cleaner (stained pillow case) no soap to wash hands, weird blanket… Staff seemed pretty uninterested and kinda bothered when asked for something. Basically I’ve stayed in same priced hostels with *way* better quality.

Must stay for visitors to Lembongan

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. Lush greenery everywhere and the pool was a bonus. The room was spotless and quite spacious. Couldn't have been more comfortable. This is the place to stay in Lembongan!

The breakfast is very simple and could be improved. But it is free so it's hard to complain about that.

Room wasn’t completely sealed up, that means anything could always come in the room at any time. Ants were crawling all over the floor. Locker was very dirty i had to clean it myself. No soap in showers or by the sink. No roof in the shower. Poorly lit room so it is very dark at night. No closeby eateries closest you have to walk about 15 mins and half of the path is pitch dark with scary dogs. Really don’t recommend staying here. I know it’s cheap but for the same price i could get somewhere else that’s more convenient and comfortable so there’s no excuse

Amazing value for money!

Amazing value for money! Nice and quiet area but also close to the beach and cafes. Included breakfast was also a great perk (omelet’s, toast, fruit, pancakes, juice, scrambled eggs). Stayed in a bungalow and was great!

Skip this hostel

I think I budgeted a little too much. The place looks really nice outside but... Coudn't sleep bacause noises from outside and next door were so loud. You could hear everything from word to word and how they close the doors or use the shower. I was also eaten alive by mosquitos while trying to sleep since there was a good access between the wall&roof for them. The showers were nasty, no soap, no place for hanging your towel and bathroom area was sooo hot since it was partially in the sun without any roof. Toilet door locks were not working. Also the beds has no curtains and you could feel the bed springs.

The cottage was larger than we anticipated, and we were able to use the safe to store our valuable items.

The cottage was rather dirty. The bathroom was unclean, and the mosquito net was covered in stains. Additionally, the staff appeared disengaged and uninterested in their work.

Awesome hotel

The family running Garden Cottages are some of the friendliest most helpful people we have met in two years of traveling. We arrived after a 40minute walk from the Yellow Bridge to a lovely welcome drink and our room was even ready for early check in. The room was spacious, spotlessly and cleaned at least every two days if not every day. You're provided with 4 towels (2 for the pool), shower gel and shampoo, fridge and tea / coffee. There is a mosquito net in the room but very rarely saw any mosquitos in the room. For breakfast you get a menu with 4/5 delicious and freshly prepared options. The pool is kept in pristine condition and well maintained which makes it a pleasure to sit by. The area is quiet and there was always enough sunbeds. Dream Beach, Devil's Tear and plenty of restaurants are located 10minutes walk behind the hotel. In the opposite direction Mushroom Beach is a 10 minute walk with short cuts where there are lots of places to eat and you can get a fast boat to Bali with The Tanis. There are not many street lights in the area but a phone light is more then enough, we walked around every night for two weeks and never felt unsafe. You book day tours, ferry tickets or hire a motorbike with the team that is on site all day. No wonder we extend three times and ended up staying for weeks!

Good place for a relaxed stay

The staff was very kind, flexible and helpful with every request (early breakfast, rent motorbike, etc). The wooden cottages are nice, and beds comfortable. Breakfast is simple but generous portions, consisting of fresh fruit, coffe/tea or juice, toast and a choice of omelette or pancake.

Cleanliness could be improved, there were quite some stains and mosquitos trapped in the net above the bed. Also the pool beds were a bit dirty. The location is about 15 min walk from mushroom beach, there isn't much going on around it. The street at night is quite dark though, so better if you have a scooter. I'd recommend the place for families and couples but not really to meet other people, the hostel part is apart from the rest, people don't seem to hang around in the reception area.

Beautiful gardens, excellent stay

The rooms were great and very clean!! It's aptly named as the garden Cottage as the grounds were so beautifully landscaped. Beautiful pool as well which was a pleasure to spend some time by. Free breakfast and very welcoming and helpful staff. The welcome drink on arrival was very welcome indeed. I would 11/10 stay here again

It would be great to have hand soap in the bathrooms please as that was certainly missed. The first scooter I rented was a bit of a death trap with no horn and really bad brakes but they swapped it over for me with no questions asked when I asked to exchange it.

It was wonderful to come back after 4 years from last visit. Everything was as great as it was back then, beautiful and staff helpful as ever. We were looking forward revisiting here and it surely did not disappoint us! Location is nice, abit off the streets so its calm but easy to access. Beautiful setting in quiet part of the island Pool and surround very good as was the dorm facilities If it rains you can take advantage of a fresh water shower!! Mushroom bay 20 mins walk.
