We did not have breakfast at the hotel as was expensive
Mattress was really uncomfortable, no soap in bathroom and so good job we brought our own, on site parking was a problem.. because a lot of vehicles were taking up 2 spaces.

Good location.
Reasonable price.
Good quality and quantity of breakfast.
The whole hotel had lots of minor maintenance defects. The window in the room didnt shut properly and consequently didnt provide any sound proofing from the road. The shower enclosure didnt seal properly and so a significant amount of water was coming through it and onto the bathroom floor. The toilet seat wasnt fitted correctly. One of the lights in the sconces in the room was flickering. There was damage to the walls in various places around the hotel that hadnt been repaired. The non-slip matting in the changing rooms in the leisure centre wasnt fixed down and it moved around a lot when walking on - it was slippy.

Good location for overnight stay in Plymouth. Great communication in advance. Good breakfast with well presented hot food and some self-service buffet stuff too. All the staff were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming.
Very simple and dated rooms on Level 3 in the eaves ... Probably because I booked some singles. Beds were lumpy - new mattresses are hopefully on your list for 2026.

The room was big and spacious. Bed was very comfortable.
It was perfect location to the city centre and theatre.
Some staff were not as friendly as others. Wasn't comfortable to ask questions as it felt like you were putting them out.
However gentleman on reception was great and so was the staff in the restraunt.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions. It is in a central location just literally a 5 minute walk into the centre. We can use the gym, sauna and pool and there is car parking too if you don't what the breakfast option there is wetherspoons 3 minutes walk away.
Parking is on site but is not included in the accommodation price.

Location good, staff lovely, pool and facilities good, room clean and tea coffee and biscuits provided.
Hardly any parking, very dated, tiny towels, changing room and showers for pool were so dated lockers don’t work properly shower lasts 10 seconds and is full of mould. Room was boiling even though no heating on so kept window open which was a sash window and it was banging all night too. Overall it was fine just asking me what I didn’t like so being honest.

This was our second stay and it was just as lovely as the first. Literally right next door to Plymouth Pavilion for a show. The staff are lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. They have a fantastic restaurant on the lower floor with wonderful food.

Excellent value for money. Room was perfect fir our stay
The building is old, you could hear walking from room above - floorboards moving as they walked. Noise in the corridor as people made thier way up rooms. We did request a quiet room but maybe our requirements meant thus couldn’t be facilitated

I've fortunately stayed at the Continental for many years for work and pleasure, and every time I visit Plymouth I try to book the Continental. The staff over the years have been excellent and the facilities - rooms and the pool - have been the biggest reason for my/our stay. Only negative - as always - is the limited parking, but again fortunately I know where the local car parks are located. All the years I've visited the continental I've rarely had breakfast or any other meals, so it would be unfair for me to comment.
Limited car parking. please refer to my remarks above.

It’s not flash but does exactly what it says on the tin. The gym and pool are a welcome bonus to a stay.
I think £15 for a small full English is a little much.

The hotel is right next to the Pavillions, so convenient for watching shows and central for the city centre. A one night stay without breakfast was reasonably priced and there was parking at the location. Teas and coffee provided in the room. The room was of good size, with a reasonably sized bathroom, and clean. The shower over the bath was powerful.
The double bed was on the small side and the pillows a bit thin. No fridge in the room. It was £7 to park for the night.

Recently updated, and really enjoyed the atmosphere
Not enough plug sockets for phones and computers. Also bottle of water was ridiculously expensive.

Just a little noisy outside

Good location
Several broken fittings in room, lamps, lights without bulbs. Iron burns on carpet. Swimming pool cleanliness was poor. Steam room out of order.

Nice and central, clean and friendly staff
Stopping next to a family room occupied on night 1 by all night revellers. On night 2 occupied by 2 women full of anti social language and behaviour not to mention a screaming youngster

Great location

Only 1 lift and then stairs to get to our room. We are pensioners and it was difficult with luggage. It would have been nice to have been offered help at reception. Dirty mark on bedding so requested change. No enough shelving for toiletries in bathroom. These were the only negative points. The spa was excellent and enhanced our stay.
Having to pay £7 per moght for parking. Not offered help with our luggage knowing it eas quite a trek to our room. Only x1 lift and then through doors and more stairs. We are pensioners with knee problems and getting a heavy suitcase up stairs was very difficult.

The location was perfect and the bar prices were reasonable for a hotel. We used the swimming pool nice size for a bob around and easy access to the shops

Staff were excellent. Good facilities but wasn’t there long enough to check them all out.
Furniture dated. No replenishment of coffee in room (and no notice). Parking charges but access to gym free?
8.0 / 10.0
The room was very spacious, and bathroom facilities were very good.
Windows were a little hard to open. The building opposite the hotel has a big TV screen. You will see this all night, flashing on and off. (Yes, the curtains were closed)
Darker curtains would be better.

I chose the Hotel for its closeness to the Pavilions for a concert…
Bearing in mind it was a chilly wet day , on arrival both of the rooms windows were wide open and the heating was off..
I had to not only turn on the room radiators but also scramble about on the bathroom floor to turn on the towel rail valves which had been overly tightened shut!!
The four poster bed was very loose , I was tempted to go and get my tool kit and tighten the bolts holding it together..
The toilet had a “foot” missing from the toilet seat so it rocked and slid to the side every time it was sat on..
The bar staff didn’t seem very interested in their work and even disappeared , hence we didn’t re order any more drinks ( their loss )

Location is great, breakfast was tasty, staff very helpful and friendly
The only think we didn’t like was the very cold water in the pool
1.0 / 10.0
The location was helpful and the staff were perfectly pleasant and helpful.
The hotel felt dated and somewhat neglected. The leisure facilities left a lot to be desire, the steam room seats were cracking and paint peeling and it had a moldy smell to it. The room was outdated and the corridors felt old and needed refreshing. Did not stay the night, chose to leave after a few hours as did not want to stay there.
