Highly recommendable.

Every member of staff we interacted with weas extremely pleasant and helpful. Even a cleaner took a moment to say hello and assure us that we did not need to rush to leave. The restaurant staff were very attentive, checking that our meal was O K even pressing us to say why we had not eaten our scrambled egg! The range of food for breakfast was excellent. Evening menu very reasonably priced and the deserts beautifully presented. Proximity to Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican makes is a great location to stay at.

Just the scrambled egg! Felt as if if may have been for powdered egg. It was rubbery and synthetic feeling. We could have done with an exact Google dropped pin to take us to the underground car park. That took some finding. Everything else was great.

Excellent and just what we needed.

Clean and comfy with helpful and friendly staff.

The carpets in the corridors are migraine inducing, they look like marble cake so if you’re a bit squiffy you’re not sure if you’re standing on solid ground.

A 4ft6" bed is not now considered adequate these days. My wife struggled with access.

The lady on duty for breakfast was extremely helpful and had a lovely personality making everyone feel good. It was her personality rather than doing anything special for me. I was in the hotel for less than 10 hours, basically to sleep, eat breakfast and move on.

Parking in the underground car park, accessing it is a nuisance.

Very comfortable, stayed here after having bad experiences with other hotels in Plymouth and we will definitely always choose this hotel from now. The man at the desk was lovely and helpful, the bathroom was really nice with great water pressure. Our room came with a bath which was quite long which is ideal for taller people. Although next to a main road, at night there was barely any noise from outside even with the window open. Did not order any food during this stay however the menu looked lovely and we definitely want to order from it at out next stay.

Great stay yet again

Lovely staff, spacious and clean room, not the first time ive stayed and won't be the last.

For the price and location there wasn't anything I really disliked, if I had to nitpick then the shower made an odd noise if you turned it up full, but nothing dialing it back a little didnt fix.

breakfast was disappointing food tired and limited choice would stay here again but without breakfast option parking on site was confusing payment for two different areas in the same hotel confusing and could cause problems with penalty's

Getting woken up at 9am by the cleaner asking when we were planning on checking out wasn't the best. It was a 12pm checkout and we were trying to have a lay in.

Overall, our stay was very nice.

The room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable and the facilities were good. I particularly enjoyed the unlimites access to cool, filtered water and hot drinks. Staff were also very polite and helpful. The hotel is very close to local amenities and we did not need to drive to the places we needed to go.

Unfortunately, we found it hard to sleep because of loud music from a party downstairs, which lasted until midnight.

Underwhelmed

Bathrooms were really dated. Felt like it was stuck a bit in time. Almost could smell stale smoke from when people used to smoke in it. Beds were exceptionally comfy and the linen. Staff not very chatty and they didn’t even ask if we had had a nice stay when we checked out just took the room key!

Prefer a pot of tea combined with a breakfast price menu Ie minimal size breakfast for myself consisted of 2 slices of toast plus a cup of tea.

Car parking system had changed since last visit and required extra login to new app, was tricky after struggling with our luggage up narrow stairway to reception .

Breakfast could be warmer and the staff more helpful towards older guests, the bar staff were very slow and there was no ice available for drinks that should of had some and no information given regarding the building works which affected us finding out where your car park was
