Nice place, large and quiet room, super friendly staff, good breakfast.

Hotel is very clean, with an old fashion style, really well done. The room, the bathroom and the bed are large. It was also very quiet. Convenient location in downtown, close to the train station. We asked for an iron and we get it quickly. We also asked for a last minute (and late) breakfast on Sunday morning (most of the business being closed on Sundays) and they prepared quickly a very nice one. Staff was really friendly.

Very small detail: the door knobs creak a lot, difficult to be discrete if one want to go to the bathroom during the night.

Adequate but not exceptional

The room was very clean. The bathroom was spacious. The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful in storing our bikes for the evening.

The bathroom floors were freezing cold. The hallways and public spaces are a bit tired.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is an excellent restaurant as part of the hotel. Walking distance to everything.

Pleasant Stay

Good location (park in the road behind as it's free). Warm welcome. Beds comfortable. We had three separate rooms and my mum's, 104, was the best room. Bathrooms pleasant. Bar lovely, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was OK too.

My room 102, was too dark for my taste but it was clean and comfortable. My son's room, 106, was well decorated but had a lingering stale smoke odour especially when I went in in the morning. All rooms were a bit stale smelling and the corridor was too. Book your table in the restaurant. Thursday night and it was fully booked.

Very close to town centre. Option of full board deal (which I didn't take up). Great shower. Fan provided. Good breakfast, good value for money.

Balcony door is only swing open, not tilt and turn so no possibility of letting air in unless you want to leave the door wide open onto a balcony accessible from every other room!

Adequate but hot and noisy room

The hotel was easy to find and there is ample free on-street parking immediately outside the hotel. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, though they weren't open on the night of our stay. There is a friendly bar just around the corner from the hotel and a pizza restaurant within a minute's walk. The train station is close to the hotel. It was nice to find tea and coffee-making facilities in the room - something of a rarety in French hotels. Breakfast was enjoyable but the hotel had second-guessed the bread order which meant that the croissants had run out by the time we sat down to eat.

Our room was far too hot, and with no air conditioning the only option was to open the windows which resulted in the room becoming quite noisy as Cambrai started to wake up in the early morning.

Great location, rooms need updating

The Mouton Blanc is very centrally located in the heart of Cambrai. The best thing about the hotel other than the location is the restaurant and bar. The restaurant is excellent, the lounge and bar are lovely and they have a live piano player. Just note that the music on the weekends will continue until midnight, and you can hear it quite well on Floor 1 (so bring earplugs). There was a simple but good breakfast. The shower was also good.

The room we stayed in (101) was dark and in need of some updates. The colors were drab and the furniture was mismatched, so the chair did not fit under the desk and blocked the way to the bed. There is no refrigerator. The bathroom is small because they have a separate WC, it would be better to put them together in one space. The WC also had a bad smell. The pillows are a bit hard. The phone in the room did not work and there is no room service. Given the quality of the restaurant, I hope they can make some updates to the rooms to make the hotel a better experience overall.

Good bargain for $ and location - 3 min on foot from the main square and train station.

The restaurant downstrairs served excellent steak and wine and the staff's service way far above 3 star hotel restaurant. We also had a family party at the private room for 9 people. The of the restaurant staff service gunuine, attentive and discreat - we could focus on our guests and need not to remind the waiters to bring this or that as the service was perfectly aligned and timed.

Our room had a tiny beach-chair style wardrobe. Fantactic design - not very practical as it does not have much space.

Clean, comfortable, quite upmarket for the price.

Very smart place to stay, bearing in mind the price. Good breakfast - had to preorder because of the virus going round but small changes can be made at table. Safe and secure locked parking for my motorbike.

I booked the one night stay online and asked if I could reserve a table in the restaurant. The hotel came back with a great half board deal - which of course I accepted - only to find the restaurant closed on Sundays, the night I arrived. A bit disappointed. Not really an understandable error on their part.

Helas. Nous ne savions pas que CHAQUE SAMEDI SOIR L hotel organise des soirees jusqu’à 24 h !! La musique piano musicien ou dj est tres forte. Evidemment cela nous ne ne savions pas....A 23h30 je me suis levee pour telephoner à l’accueil pour demander la possibilite de baisder la musique... On m’a proposee une autre chambre mais je n’ai pas accepte vu l’heure....la provhaine fois je demanderai une chambre plus " eloignee " si elle existe. ....Dommage

Tolles Ambiente

Wir haben auf der Hin- und Rückreise vom Urlaub übernachtet. Gute und ruhige Lage nahe der Innenstadt mit öffentlichen Parkplätzen vor der Tür, die in den Ferien kostenfrei sind. Tolles Ambiente. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück für den Preis voll in Ordnung. Die Zimmer, beide zur Straße gelegen, waren sauber und und die Betten sehr gut. Bei der ersten Übernachtung hatten wir ein moderner renoviertes Zimmer, bei der zweiten Übernachtung waren wir etwas enttäuscht, da nur eine freie Steckdose vorhanden war.

Unfreundlich, null gastfreundschaft. Faul. Schlampig. Mieser service an reception. Booking reservation wurde nicht gelesen. Restaurant für diner wurde früher geschlossen als in booking avisiert. Essen schlecht für hohen preis! Mieser service. Zimmer quasi im hinterhof mit null aussicht. Im schacht vor dem fenster waren viele klimageräte anderer zimmer. Absolute zumutung. Waschbecken war verstopft. Frühstück absolut lieblos. Löffel und messer waren schmutzig. Kurz:: Booking rating total falsch, irreführend und muss korrigiert werden. Sehr schlechter eindruck über booking!! Schlimmstes hotel aus meiner erfahrung.
