Restaurant meal very good.
Breakfast standard.
More selection at breakfast.

Top floor room - basic but clean and comfortable
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. A bit of an out of the way location so no real options for dinner/breakfast.

Our room was in the Orangery which was a short walk from the chateau which would have been okay if it had not been raining and very windy. The restaurant was in the cellar which was really lovely and our breakfast was served in the chateau which is beautiful.
We were not told the code to get into the Orangery fortunately someone came in with us and advised of this.

The location and setting in the park. Pleasant restaurant
The coffee. Small bed

We liked the poise of this Chateau/hotel, great character. It's mellow and quiet, rather than exciting, but we enjoyed that. It feels secure too, with gates locked overnight, important for us as we travel by motorcycle. It felt well organised. It's our 3rd visit over 17 years.
The breakfast was a bit lightweight, probably the least interesting of the five hotels we stayed in over 2 weeks. For a hotel of its class, this minor item could easily be improved.

Excellent restaurant
Friendly and helpful staff

Breakfast could be better, although was nice. But not much on offer. Just a little tired in places. But it is an old building.
Breakfast could have been better! And may benefit from a bar.

Great bedroom with lots of space and a wonderful four poster bed. High ceilings and windows with views of the lawns.

Excellent restaurant in a very atmospheric vaulted ceiling cellar room. The staff were all helpful and very pleasant .
There was no heating on in the hotel at the end of September with outside temperature in the low teens they did however provide a small electric heater when pressed but it barely touched our large room . We paid to upgrade to the larger room as the deluxe double was not acceptable to us. The Chateau is very shabby there is no bar as such and the two lounges are also used by people booking private dinning rooms so there is nowhere specifically for residents, this could be more of an issue if there was a large function or wedding taking place during your stay. Also the location is well out of the centre so you need to go back out in the car it’s in an odd area.

This is a real gem of a hotel. The historic decor and furniture were a delight. The staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was a little modest, but acceptable for the room rate.

Bungalow accommodation was clean ,well set out ,no issues. Quiet location in the grounds. Easy access to Cambrai on the bus.
A seating area by the room would have been good .

The old chateau was beautiful, with a certain faded elegance, the staff were excellent
The chateau is stuck in the middle of an estate of flats, looks a bit like communist Russia, we couldn't stay in the chateau itself as there wasn't room instead we were accommodated in the garden rooms, which were clean but smelt of damp. Dinner was a disappointment as we had been looking forward to a nice meal, the standard was poor, the steak I ordered was OK, but my husband had the fish and chips, it reminded me of the findus battered fish it came as a battered triangle, with soggy chips, and i thought expensive for what it was. Breakfast was ok, we were booked for 2 nights but left after the first night as couldn't bear the thought of another night

Excellent value. It might not have looked very inviting from the outside but our bungalow/ chalet was like a TARDIS inside - bigger than it looked.
Restaurant closed on Sunday. WiFi very basic.

Decade elegance - a perfect location for a wedding or a special celebration. Fantastic grounds and steeped in history.
They advertise they have a restaurant in house, which would have been perfect, but sadly it was not open on the night we stayed there in August.

Beautiful grounds, very peaceful. Great food in the restaurant and for breakfast, very good quality. Excellent shower.
We stayed on a bungalow that has obviously been recently refurbished but they do still look a bit tired from the outside. That said the room was spacious and well equipped with a great shower, mini bar and comfortable bed.

Breakfast was good with excellent staff.
The bungalows were very nice inside but a bit shabby outside

We love faded grandeur. The massive airy rooms and the confessional on the landing give it a style that’s impossible to reproduce. We stay there most years. The grounds are beautiful.
The food’s a bit basic. Nothing wrong with that. It’s not a gastronomic hotspot.

The house was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were good.
No kettle in the room. No free water. Breakfast very basic.

Unfortunately the dinner at the restaurant was disappointing . The langoustine and pate de foie could have been out of a tin. The duck was tough. The service was slow.
The coffee at breakfast was cold.
The middle curtains in Room 8 were broken and would not draw shut.
The Receptionist was delightful.

Room was in chalets in the grounds, about 200m from the Chateau. It was a lovely evening so walking to the Chateau for dinner was fine. Food in the chateau restaurant was good and well priced.
It was a little tricky to find. Note that there are two roads with the same name as the one near the chateau that I set my satnav to!

Beautiful venue
Cottages were nice comfortable. Wasn’t able to eat in Chateau as there was a wedding on. Would have been good to know before we got there. Although it was still very comfortable.

My husband and I did not stay in the chateau but in the cottages in the grounds, which was well appointed. As a group we had dinner at the chateau in the delightful underground cellars.
The food served had varied responses from our friends but a rather enjoyable evening was had by all

Nothing, other than leaving
The smell of damp, the shower head falling off the wall, internet connection was poor. The general condition of the property was unacceptable.

The restaurant was to a very good standard and the food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients.
Thé room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and recently refurbished but the standard was about what you would expect for the price paid.
The château and grounds were a little jaded.
