Very friendly and helpful staff, super location, characterful rooms with doors to the garden. Very nice restaurant. We have been in this hotel many times and will definitely use it again. It is a real refuge after hours on the motorway.

An oasis

Lovely hotel! My husband enjoyed a long chat with the proprietor about the first use of tanks in warfare near Cambrai (!!). Friendly hotel, comfortable beds, and proper breakfast, not just a buffet. It is just outside the centre of the town, maybe 10 minutes stroll to the centre. You drive into the hotel grounds through an arbour to an oasis of peace.

A delightful haven

An excellent dinner served in the delightful garden. The dining room is also very pleasant. Friendly helpful staff. The breakfast is not buffet but everything one could possibly want is brought to the table. Our superior room was spacious and comfortable. There was a bath and separate shower. Do not be put off by the grotty road; one drives off it into a haven of a garden.

Landelijk verblijf op de rand van een centrumstadje.

Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was relatief sober qua keuzes, maar wel kwaliteitsvol. Het versgebakken eitje met spek was voortreffelijk. Het is ook een mooie locatie met rustige binnentuin en gelegen nabij het stadscentrum.

We merkten dat de lavabo niet goed doorliep. Dat is een kwaal die we veel ervaren in hotels. Wellicht propt de zwanenhals langzaam dicht als het niet dagelijks wordt gebruikt en er propvorming mogelijk is. Misschien moeten ze vaker ontstoppen, zodat het waswater beter wegloopt. De inloopdouche daarentegen was perfect.

Een allerhartelijkste ontvangst viel ons ten deel. Als Eerste Wereldoorlog-bezoekers van de streek was onze gastheer natuurlijk de ideale ontvanger. Een fijne kamer werd ons toebedeeld. Alles prima in orde. Fijne badkamer. Na een goede nachtrust volgde in de ochtend een mooi ontbijt: lekker vers. Met Cambrai om de hoek: een ideale locatie. En vergeet vooral de Deborah niet!

L'accueil : notre hôte nous accueille sans dire bonjour mais en insistant d'emblée pour nous communiquer le code d'entrée ! Pas de climatisation pour un 3 étoiles ! La déco mérite vraiment d'être rafraîchie... un peu trop années 70 avec tous ses tapis et moquette à poils. Idem pour le jardin avec cette moquette en gazon synthétique de mauvais goût au regard du potentiel qu'offre la demeure.
