Hotel JÄGERHAUS in Singen am Hohentwiel

The hotel is super dirty and looks horrible. We booked three rooms and all of them were bad. So, it’s not a coincidence. We arrived a bit late and the self-checkin kiosk didn’t work well. So, naturally, we didn’t expect the reception to be present. So we tried calling the hotel phone number mentioned on the Booking.com and there was no answer. Only after around 30 mins of wandering around hotel, we found a staff member and he helped us out. Photos on Google and Booking.com are not what we got at all. The photos showed really nice rooms. But… The rooms smell really bad and the floors were quite sticky. The water glasses were dusty and the furniture was not cleaned well. The bathroom shower faucet was faulty and was quite difficult to operate. There was a bench which was covered with stains and smudges. Even the corridors are not cleaned and filled with smudges, stains, and dust. In the bathroom, the wiring of the sink light is exposed and it is a huge safety risk. (See the photos). Walls are too thin and it was too noisy. We could hear loud thumping from the above floor. I guess these are wooden floors and we couldn’t sleep at all. We paid €70+ for a single room and €90+ for a double room. This is outrageous!!! I’m not sure why the reviews say otherwise. To the owners: please, don’t delete the reviews. Please, do take these into account and clean the hotel. People are paying their hard earned money to have a nice stay and it’s quite inhumane to charge for an unhygienic place. 🙏 Update: The owner just called to asking to delete this review. I said no. Let’s see if this review gets deleted.

The bed was comfortable, good location, very basic facilities

Poor facilities in the room: no fridge, no kettle (not possible to make tea or coffee); no AC, just small fan. No staff at the reception after 21:00

The room and bathroom were clean. Bathroom was renovated. A few parking spots available for 10€ extra.

Single room had old furniture and reminded me of a dorm room with an already overused and bent mattress. The door was very thin, so that every noise from outside could be heard. Bathroom lacked hangers for towels and clothes.

Nice staff - comfy bed - hot shower - good breakfast selection

In the morning, someone just unlocked our door without knocking or announcing themselves. We found out it was maintenance, however we didn’t ask for maintenance at 9am and they didn’t even knock before just unlocking an occupied unit.
