Not for international tourists

Although they had debited my card for deposit, they wanted me to pay again for 2 nights and otherwise they would not give me the code for entry. Their justification that it's only a deposit etc is nom-sense since if I do not show up they will get the money. Since they refused to gove me the code despite the debit in the afternoon, I had to book another hotel. I checked in in the morning and they still made me pay 2 nights. Not practical for international tourists. And the lift does not work for every floors.

OK for one night but close balcony doors so not to be woken by drunks yelling all hrs.

Location was great. Secure lockup parking for moto. Breakfast was average. Staff were very friendly and helpful

The bathroom was not very clean. It had a bad smell about it probably coming from the drains. Lots of human hair on walls and floor and a chunk of Snot from someones nose on the wall clearly visible near wash basin.

They are not honest,because when i booked a room for 2 nights that cost(153.60€) i paid 75 € as reservation fee,but when I arrived in the hotel the receptionist insisted that i need to pay the whole amount of (153.60 €) disregarding the 75€ deposit.

Lovely stay

Splendid location, in the heart of town, I didn't have breakfast. Very old and beautiful building, to suit my taste entirely, might not be the same with others. I loved it!

Receptionist didn't speak English, which is a shame.

Location is hard to beat, there is bakery, restaurant, and many more all around, giving plenty of options. The hotel is overall quite rustic but everything worked, and I found it pretty quiet. The staff was welcoming and nice everytime I had to interact with. My stay was really relaxing.

I can imagine the overall rustic vibes might not be for everyone, or if you want to stay a lot in your room. The room could probably have a bit more electricity plug, didn't bothered me as I was traveling alone.

Very convenient and reasonably priced 2* hotel in good location

That was probably the best 2* hotel in France we ever been to. It is very simple but you get quite spacious room and comfortable beds/pillows. It was very clean and gentleman at the reception was kind and helpful. Please, remember this is a 2* touristic hotel so don't expect fancy features in the room. Especially not at this price level in Evian. Location is very good: right at the main shopping street and just 5 mins walk from the Evian water sources. 5 mins from the supermarket, 10-15 mins walk from ferry to Lausanne. Around 20 mins walk from the train station but you can get there by bus which stops just nearby. Breakfast for 10 euro per adult and 6 per child was again simple but decent, yet nothing special.

Well, it's an old building with some cons that come with it. A bit squeeky floor and not the best sound insulation are probably the biggest issues. Despite the old building you can see the owner and staff try their best to minimize those issues, so it's not that they don't care. It honestly didn't bother us that much but it's worth mentioning.
