Overlooking the waterfall
The infinity pool
Climbing the stairs was a challenge sometimes. And the lighting in the bathroom was very dim, hard to apply makeup.

It was a delightful property
Beautiful views and atmosphere and the staff, Jack and the team are extremely helpful and friendly
It would have been great if it had a health spa. Also the beds were a little hard for me

Clean, amazing view through the swimming pool, amazing stuff and excellent breakfast
There were some insects in the hotel, which was slightly uncomfortable especially if you have kids but I understand this is due to the hotel’s location and surrounding nature.

Really beutiful place with exceptionally good service. Especially Jack made our stay unforgettable with his kindness and authenticy. Breakfast was really delicious and well prepared, we also had good dinner at the restaurant. We enjoyed the River view villa with a private poo and breathtaking views to the rainforest. We saw lot of geckos, monkeys, butterflies and birds during our stay, it was amazing. Zenubud have also good taxi service available, we used that few times to Ubud center and also for one-day tour. Great overall experience and warmly recommended to everyone who wants to be in a modern Villa with private pool, in the middle of a jungle, but still close to Ubud and main area attractions. And very welcoming and pleasant team taking good care fo you. Greetings to Jack!

We booked this place due to the reviews, location in ubud and the views. The views were stunning from the villas, villa pool and restaurant. However, we initially booked the 2 bedroom villa. I noted that it had been very heavily perfumed on our arrival. Upon settling in, when the purfume dissapated, there was a distinct and overpowering smell of mould. My partner recently recovered from a cold and could not stop coughing our first night there. There was mould all over the bathroom walls, pictures in the bathroom and half the bedroom walls for both rooms. I think the problem is that you can not get enough ventilation at this place. There are large windows but due to the location insects you really can not open them at night, there are no insect screens or nets on the windows or bed. So you can not air out the mould smell. After complaining we were upgraded to the 3 bedroom villa, of which 2 rooms were clean and fine, but one had the same mould smell/problem. Very expensive and would not stay again due to this. I will note this review was hard to rate and write, because I could tell that the staff really cared about this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very nice each day.
The mould, the smell of mould, the cost we paid for a mouldy room, having to argue for one that was not mouldy and repack after arrival. I have added pictures of the 2 bedroom initially booked to back up what I am saying. I would say staff is aware of the mould problem due to the heavy perfume on arrival. I would say that the walls and ceiling were all 'popcorn ceiling' so I am not sure if this in conjunction with the ventilation issue has led to issues with the mould management, but I think it has got to health hazard stage.

We stayed one week at Zenubud and were extremely satisfied with our experience. The location is simply breathtaking, with a stunning view into the lush jungle that creates a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Wildlife encounters made our stay even more special – from playful monkeys visiting us, to spotting a Komodo dragon right outside the villa, and enjoying the many colorful birds flying through the rainforest.
Positive aspects: excellent service, beautiful location, spectacular view, and well-designed facilities. The villa itself was comfortable and the private pool felt like our own oasis in nature.
Some points for improvement: the pump of our pool was quite loud at times, and unfortunately the pump of the neighboring villa was positioned near our bedroom, waking us around 8 AM. We also noticed a few small defects in the pool tiles, likely caused by previous visitors.

We had breath taking views from our villa. You are really immersed in nature. It is quite private and serene. If you are lucky you can even see a bunch of monkeys having fun right in front of your balcony. We received the best hospitality, care and service from Jack. He has such positive energies and made sure we were well taken care of. We would recommend this villa.
It doesnt have a shared pool. You will only have a private pool when you book the other villa's. Its not mentioned clearly on the website.

Gorgeous location in the heart of the Ubud jungle, peaceful and clean. Delicious and fresh food at the on-site restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. We loved our stay at the Zenubud two bedroom villa.
Tiles around the pool area very slippery when wet, our kids have had a couple of slips and falls. Cocktails made by the restaurant staff did not taste like they had any alcohol in them.
These didn't take away from our overall experience though, it was a fabulous stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Zenubud. Very attentive and helpful staff, especially Jack, the manager! Nice view and relaxing accommodation, that we highly recommend!

The surroundings are serene. You can hear the water stream flowing from the pool area. The open Kitchen next to the pool area was great. Bathrooms are new and clean. Relaxing pool and great view from the pool area.
The staff communication wasn't great, missed details every now and then. Though helpful. The room didn't have Aus electric converter we asked for it and were supplied 2. Knife was missing in the kitchen. It would be good to have some more cutlery in the kitchen. The restaurant closed very early on Monday couldn't order food had to order via Grab app. A small ceiling fan in the kitchen deck area will be good- that was missing.

Everything was great. Even though we chose the wrong room, they went out of their way to let us use the pool. Jack is wonderful. He even made sure we had breakfast every morning. He even packed sandwiches when we didn't have time. Jack is a superman. If you're coming to Ubud, definitely come to Zenubud and meet Jack. Everyone here treats you like family. We loved Zenubud.

The amazing staff made the stay especially jack! I booked this accommodation for 2 nights for my partners birthday and it was beautiful. We never got to really enjoy the pool as the weather was bad with constant rain although that is not the property’s fault!
Out of the way from everything:(

Breakfast menu is a bit limited. You need to be in shape cause theres over 100 steps if you are staying at the bottom.

Great location, beautiful and peacefull environment. Amazing staff thats what makes this place outstanding.
Many dishes from the menu were not available But the staff always tried the best and what they cooked was delicious.

Lovely and peaceful
The employees do not speak English well and could not understand when we tried to tell them about the huge mouse that was in our room. We couldn’t tell them when it was happening as they all leave at 9pm and there is no staff available until the morning. A huge mouse was in our villa and took us hours to get rid of. It was as big as a rat and it ran all around our room and caused us lots of discomfort and fear.
The staff did not even bother to do anything after I sent a message. They simply said “sorry” nothing else.
I’ve worked in hospitality for years and I am beyond shocked of what I experienced here. It is not good enough when the property is so expensive to simply say sorry over text. No one even followed up with me after I tried to tell the receptionist what had happened, I had to message myself. I never ever complain about anything as I couldn’t be bothered to make a fuss but I would never return here.
The location is in the middle of nowhere with transport near impossible also.

Beautiful location quiet and relaxing, great staff
4.0 / 10.0
The location is fantastic. The road is a bit bumpy leading to the property but it’s extremely close to the city center and they provide a free daily shuttle to the center if you’d like to book it. It’s also relatively spacious with very lush tropical gardens, and a fantastic view.
There’s plenty not to like unfortunately, the two bedrooms downstairs in the three bedroom villa were stinking of mold. The smell in the smallest room was especially awful because the room had no windows! It was shocking to us as a group of friends who split the cost of this stay equally, to have one couple stay in this room (photos here are of the largest room downstairs). We complained immediately upon arrival and they offered us one double room at the very bottom of the hill instead of the small room, which was inconvenient considering we are flying together and want to be staying together.
While we appreciate they tried to help, and to clean the room again and provide an air purifier, the state of the room in terms of health and safety was not suitable for any guests of any age. The mold was visible on the wood floor boards, and with no windows, the smell is offensive. Please be aware of this if you’re taking the three bedroom villa.
The breakfast at the restaurant was mediocre. The staff were friendly and helpful and these issues mentioned above are probably not their fault at all, however someone needs to try to fix the mold issue immediately. There was no hot water in the showers and the wifi was very unstable.

The location amongst rice paddy fields was serene, quiet, with beautiful views. Far enough out of town without being too far.
Lovely Gardens, attentive friendly staff. Great breakfasts, option for takeaway boxes when we had a tour booked and had to leave early.
Free shuttle bus service to and from Ubud centre was great.
Lack of cocktail / alcoholic drink options.
One room, the shower did not heat up (infinity Villa) it didn’t affect our stay as we showered in the kids bathroom. Even after staff fixed it, it didn’t work again.

It is not too far from Ubud. Villa is nice although not overly private being right next to reception and stairs.
There is construction going on across from resort and constant noise from grinders and building. This should be stated when you book so you are aware. Definitely detracts from the zen experience. The staff are all very young and seem to be doing all jobs, reception, cleaning, waiting. None of them speak great English, some none at all. The property has a restaurant and offers meals however it appears they don’t actually have a chef and the staff don’t appear to be trained to work in a restaurant. The food was not good, definitely not the standard expected of a 5 star hotel. The worst dining experience we had in Bali. Tables were not cleaned and cutlery dirty. Staff tried really hard to help but just don’t have training or experience to deliver 5 star experience. Can not blame them. We tried to book free shuttle one night and were told driver was unavailable so had to pay $20 to go into Ubud for dinner. Pool nice but water too cold to swim in.

Spacious. Beds were super comfy. Views were gorgeous. Breakfast was individually catered for. Very relaxing stay.
Our room was above the reception. We weren’t aware that was the situation before we booked. While the room was gorgeous, clean and tidy, it doesn’t feel as luxurious to be sat above reception. As we travelled with children, it also increased security concerns/worries. Had we known, we would have booked a different villa.
Limited hot water.
8.0 / 10.0
The villa is stunning and loved it and the private pool. The location is great as it is quiet and serene.
The food at the restaurant is average, this includes breakfast and dinners. It lacks finesse and if you take the rooms then there is a mismatch. I would suggest they invest in a proper chef to uplift the level of meals. The villa and rooms were stunning but it is short on necessities like adequate cutlery, plates, crockery, pots, etc. Toaster, kettle = dated. It needs some investment here by the owners as this falls short of expected standards. The other downside is that it sits a bit outside Ubud village, just a couple of Kms. However, with the insane traffic there it can take a few hours to do dinner and return transfer to the hotel. So this a problem. We then resorted to ordering-in, as the restaurant food at the hotel was not up to scratch.

it was very clean and bedrooms were beautiful, the car picked us up from the city center of Ubud
The communication with the stuff was a bit problematic. We did reserved the biggest Villa however it was not what we expected for this price. We were just next to the reception and everyone could hear us and who was passing from reception to the Villa could see us and our pool.

Too limited. A buffet would be nice
Everything except the poor road condition into the property
8.0 / 10.0
While the location is a little off the main road, the settling and views are just spectacular. If you want something that is a completely different experience then this is for you. Yes you have to catch a taxi to the main part of town however it is worth it.
Pool is amazing and a good size.
Breakfast could be better and room service could be offered.
Although the staff are very friendly and nice they are a
little young and inexperienced. And attention to details is a little off.

we informed Zenubud that we were coming for our honeymoon and we were offered decoration and cake. but we never received this and when asked we were told they would do it the next day. we never received this.
after a few days we didn’t have robes

The friendly and attentive staff were the best part of this stay! They were very accomodating and exceeded service expectations. The way they thoroughly cleaned the room every day was amazing. It was such a clean villa every time we returned to our rooms. The villas are also suited for couples, groups and families. The food was also delicious and varied in options. The natural views was absolutely amazing!
Very minor was there were no cocktails available which was surprising but did not affect our stay at all, we still had the most amazing holiday here.
7.0 / 10.0
location,overall maintenance,free shuttle service
breakfast is good
Front desk staff at the time of check in was extremely rude, arrogant and non cooperative.
The number of steps and stair cases is very high and not suitable for elders. There are no handrails anywhere this is very dangerous during monsoon .During our stay three of our members fell down from steps.
All passages and common areas and stairways have very deem light.
The hot water geysers have very little capacity and there is not enough hot water. water tub kept in our Mezzanine A was not of any use as no hot water was available.
There is no covered dining hall or restaurant in the property, large families can’t eat and seat together.
If all above shortcomings are taken care of,it will be a very good place.
