Warm and welcoming!

Very warm and welcoming. they were not phased by us being soaking wet and pretty grubby after a long day on bikes in the rain. All our kit was washed for us too .

Perfect spot to cycle Flanders and enjoy the Ronde

We stayed at Hotel De Kalvaar during Tour of Flanders. Excellent location, close to Oudenarde and the iconic Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg, Koppenberg, Kapelmuure,... It’s also a bike friendly hotel. Really good restaurant, great breakfast. Quiet room. Anything a cyclist is looking for!

Very nice family-run hotel

Very nice family-run hotel - super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is very good, with a lovely terrace. I have food allergies, but this wasn't a problem at all. Plenty of parking spaces right outside. The room was not super modern, but we didn't care - it had everything we needed. The friendliness of the owners and the quality of the food outweighed any disadvantages (there's always something... no hotel is perfect). The breakfast was also very good, with a good selection. The hotel (and the restaurant terrace) is next to a road. However, it quietened down at night and the double glazing worked fine. There was also an air conditioning machine in the room.

A hotel that's a little unusual and different and very nice with it, with excellent restaurant food.

A very pleasant, clean, interesting and quirkily-decorated hotel. The staff were always friendly, helpful and polite, and the room was a good size with all necessary facilities. Breakfast is simple but tasty and well presented. The evening food in the restaurant is exceptionally good.

The view from the bedroom of the half-built yard wasn't exactly attractive. It's also a shame that the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays: be aware that it seems to be common with restaurants in the area, so it's easy to get caught out if you need to eat that day.

The property is awesome. The staff were so friendly. You will have the best restaurant in town in the same hotel.

No lift. If you stay for long time and have a lot of heavy luggages, you have to take them with you through the narrow stairs

Prima uitvalbasis voor het verkennen van de mooie omgeving.

De kamer was ruim en smaakvol ingericht. Het hele hotel ademt rust en goede smaak uit.

Dat er geen lift was maar ach traplopen is wel zo gezond.

Eenvoudig maar prima verder.

Bedden waren goed. Douchen in bad wat minder maar bleef gelukkig droog. Shampoo en zeep aanwezig in de badkamer.

Ontbijt viel wat tegen. Werd ook niet goed in de gaten gehouden. Borden op, brood op. Zelf om vragen. ‘s avonds buiten gaan zitten op het terras van het restaurant. Medewerkers liepen langs tijdens serveren, keken ons aan maar vroegen niet wat we wilden. Dit ging een tijdje door totdat we zelf aangaven dat we iets wilden drinken.

De kamer was schoon en het personeel vriendelijk

Het personeel was vriendelijk en kamer was warm toe we aankwamen de airco werd gelijk aangezet en er hier voor kregen we wat te drinken omdat de kamer warm was en even kon afkoelen top

Het ontbijt was niet slecht maar kan veel beter Geen bruin brood en croissant eieren te zacht En krentenbrood en streek gebonden producten helaas

Le petit déjouner il étais très bon avec les juices Granini dans leur frigo. Il est situé dans un zone calme. Chambre spacieux. Restaurant excelent.

Dans notre salle de bain nous avons eu un odeur de canalisation. A cause de ça une -2 de 10.

Prima locatie, kamer goede prijs- kwaliteit, ontbijt zeer goed. Alles verzorgd.

De douchecabine ! Klein, gedateerd, plastic 10-punten sproeiers volledig defect. Enkel de handdouche werkte nog. Niet o.k. dus !

Rund um sorglos mit viel Wärme.

Die Zimmer und das gesamte Hotel waren mit viel Liebe zum Detail arrangiert. Das gesamte Personal war immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zuhause bei der eigenen Familie.

Das einzige kleine Manko sind die fehlenden fliegen Gitter an den Fenstern im Zimmer.
