Staff very helpful and offered a solution with wi fi, see below. Very good gluten free breakfast
Poor wi fi. To operate as a business hotel good wi fi is essential and it was not. The staff provided a solution by letting me use the boardroom which was adequate which was most welcome.

It certainly had the atmosphere of an older English manor which is exactly as we expected. The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was filling and well prepared.
Our room was comfortable with a nice size bathroom and shower which is not always a given in these older spaces. Location was very good for Springbank and Cadenhead (5 minute walk) and a bit further to Glen Scotia but nothing terrible.
As always these older hotels lack the latest amenities (like elevators) and the windows were a bit dated and deteriorated, none of which was unexpected or diminished the experience. Our daughter, who is more used to traveling in modern hotels did find her room a bit small and lacking in some amenitites, but that was a mismatch with expectations I expect.

The outstanding memory will be the friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast each morning was a feast and dinner in the evening was of a high standard. The feeling was that everyone was determined that we enjoyed our stay.

Very clean room and comfortable bed. The warm friendly welcome from the staff made me feel at home and the food at restaurant for dinner and breakfast were delicious and service was outstanding.
Hotel is from a charming bygone era but with rather tired carpet and drab grey paint, and rear entry from car park a bit dreary, but all adds character to the hotel.

Loud wedding next door, but music was bumpin!!

Friendly staff, nice little bar. Comfortable bed.
Single glazing, could hear the pub outside and drunk people until 2300. The hot tap in the shower is plumbed backwards so left is off. Almost burnt myself trying to turn the water off, cold went off, hot turned to boiling only. I can’t be 100% but I ate dinner there and then had food poisoning for 5 days. Missed a day of work on Monday.

The family room was perfect as my daughter is 14 she had her own room with an interconnecting door so she had her own privacy. The staff were really helpful and got us food at short notice, which was excellent.
Breakfast was really hearty.
The area is stunning so the hotel was perfect location for visiting the area.

The layout of the hotel was wonderful and the bed/rooms were fantastic best sleep I’ve had in a long time better than a premier inn
Serve breakfast until 10am instead of 9am so you can sleep longer in the super comfy beds..
